Have I done this wrong ? Macros

    Hi

I’m trying to get to grips with eating right but i think I might have f-Ed up somewhere?

I’m going to cut and shed some of this fat. If I understood the other stuff I’m at about 25%BF

Admittedly I’m not used to eating right but I’m looking at this portion of fish I’ve just put in the oven which is going to give me 24g of protein ..

This is my main meal and it looks huge. And it’s going to give me a measly 24g? Not to mention the price

edit, actually now its cooked its shrivled up to f all

So I’m aiming at about 2000 cal to start with. Weigh in in a couple of weeks see where I’m at.

With that in mind I’ve got
    P: 169g
    F: 71.5 g
    C: 171g

If I do need to chow down that much protein a day, what’s the best bang for your buck source ?

Prayin it’s pizza..it’s not pizza though is it

Any meat will be high protein. Beef, fish, pork, chicken etc. stock up when they go on sale. Protein powder can be used if you're having trouble getting there with food. Most powders end up being around $1.00 for 25-30g protein (Canada anyways, might be different where you are). Make sure you weigh everything raw because as you already noticed, it will shrink when you cook it. Its losing water weight when you cook it.

Pizza does have protein, actually has a surprisingly decent macro profile as long as you control how many slices you have. Cheeseburgers do too. Don't be afraid to eat foods that haven't been labelled "clean" just make them fit your macro targets.
