Just curious if anyone knows where I can buy microplates (1.25lb plates) from?
Never purchased plates before, and need some for the GSLP program I'm running this year.
Thanks!

I recently got some very large washers from Grainger for that very purpose. They are very consistent in weight, and two per side equal 1.25. Way cheaper then the crazy prices for the lifting specific stuff. Probably more accurate in weight, I would guess, if all other weight plates are any indication.

I've got the Rogue fractional set from back when they were made with tank armor, not this sissy rubber coated nonsense they have now. They're very accurate according to my food scale.
As for accuracy, you're right about larger plate variance. So if you go to a commercial gym, there's no point. If you have your own, then you can use same plates and x.xx more is x.xx more......SQ 475# 5/26/17 wraps

Agreed completely. I use the micro washers at home. They are real nice for my wife. The light weights make small changes really big. I weighed all my plates and wrote the weights on them with paint marker, and I control the distribution of the weights so I always have exactly the same weights for a given exercise.
Tough situation, working out in a public place. Micro weighting may not be effective there.

Interesting, I never thought giant washers can be used this way or that they even made them this big. Do you have the item number for these from Grainger?
Also, I have the Ironmaster adjustable dumbell set, I'm not sure how big the holes are for the DB weights, but I'm guessing 1 inch. are there 1.25 pound washers for those?Home gym set up:

You could pick up some PlateMates, although they are pricey.....

Ironmaster is 1":
I use 1" handles but not Ironmasters. I use the following two options for small increments:
1) There are cap 1" 1.25lb plates
Typically only cost $1.50 each, price varies. Pretty good deal I think. The black ones from Walmart have been pretty consistent in weight, typically around 1 lb 4 oz as expected. I use these for exercises such as dumbbell shoulder press to increment up 2.5lbs per handle every week or two.

2) I use these 1" steel washers for standard dumbbell handles, they weigh 1/6 lb each so you put 3 per side to go up 1 lb per handle (3 is 1/2 lb per side), good for stuff like rotator cuff, lateral raises, and other things where small weight increments can add up over time:

I was just looking at these, there are multiple different types on eBay and Amazon for olympic bars; on eBay for 34.95 they have a .25, .5, .75, 1 lbs x 2 sets (ie Micro Gainz 2.0 Olympic Fractional Weight Plate Set). For my powerblocks I have 1.25 standard plates with epoxied magnets on them which work well and I use them often, lets me have x1.25, x2.5, x3.75 (when using one), x6.25, x8.75. Also lets me bump up 2.5 lbs quicker than using the 2.5 handle weights.
