LMAO. I cant remember what Voyage d Hermes smells like, but that wouldn't surprise me. The house is def not worth purchasing anywhere close to at retail due to the performance. I don't usually care much performance, but at the price point, this one gets close to the skin way too fast.

Most of their fragrances are light enough for summer. I own/like Blackberry and Bay but they have a lime one that ive heard decent things about. Some of them struggle to perform though.

This. People just have way too high of expectations sometimes. For me with Viking it was the price tag. Liked the frag, think it's a great everyday wear, but not at normal price.

Just got a 3ml sample of Dame Perfumery new release "Monsoon."

Not a big fan. It's very dark and dank, smells like something Imaginary Authors would make. Very "nichey" smelling.

Tbh the opening is rather off-putting. When I ordered a bottle of BFMV I got a sample vial of Monsoon that broke and my bathroom smelled like it for 3 weeks. My initial reaction was just like you, it has a really dank smell that I didn't like at first but after about day 2 or 3 there was something appealing about it I just couldn't deny and it's so completely different from anything I own that I had to have a bottle in my collection.

Sky Father is really nice but reminds me of Spicebomb or something similar so I doubt I'll purchase it. I also got Dark Horse and I can't remember what my thoughts were on it.

Plus the name "Viking". That's probably the only reason why it got prompted to be an aventus killer. You cant just pick a hyper masculine aggressive name like that and not expect there to be a tons of anticipation. I personally enjoyed it no more and no less than Bleu de Chanel Parfum except it was $370...

People are saying it's like a non boozy and leathery version to ch men prive.

Point is, it's simply not the same formula as the original
All we wanted was the same formula except deeper and more concentrated. I have about 290 ml of la nuit and would buy a 100 ml LNDL extrait de parfum for $180. That's all the people wanted. It would sell like hotcakes.

When you look good, dress good, have good chat, AND smell good it's just one more thing that leaves a lasting impression on a chick.

I have a ton of cheapies and expensive niche, and i've received various levels of compliments from most but none of them are "irresistable" despite what cringy youtube videos say. If you're getting regular good feedback from CDNIM you should just ride that out. If you really want a good summer freshy for the sake of variety and want compliments i'd personally recommend Hawaii Volcano but I'm not the most versed on "freshies"

Sweet 9 pounds 2 ounce baby Jesus. This juice is fking SPOT ON to the original. It even has that signature distinguishable Byredo "note" that ties most Byredos together. It's beautiful, Im lacking the proper adjectives to describe this one.

Performance seems to be very respectable. Four sprays this morning at 5:30 and it's still radiating very strong almost 4 hours later. Sillage is outstanding, I want to walk in circles just to smell myself over and over.

Im already chatting with someone from the AF group on a bottle purchase. No brainer full bottle purchase.
