This is exactly why I bought it. I visited the store to use 1 spray as a test a bunch of times before buying it. 1 spray was more than enough for an entire day. I was very pleased with its longetivity, and thats why I decided to drop the $$$ on it.

Today I put on 4 sprays (crazy!) and I can barely smell anything 3 hours later.

On my wrist, same thing, no smell noted 3 hours afterwards.

Bad batch? What to do? Take it back and request exchange maybe.

The fragrance is fine. You're having olfactory fatigue. It varies from person to person and also depends on the notes used and frequency of use. After a while of smelling a certain scent, especially if it's a strong scent and you spray it close to your nose (neck, chest, etc) your nose will adapt to it and you'll stop smelling it as much. Tuscan Leather is a beast mode fragrance and I'm sure people around you can smell it just fine.

Okay I guess we're getting an AM and PM mail delivery:

Chopard - Oud Malaki: Take the general "Oud" accord from Mancera Oud Exclusif, but give it the nutty drydown of VUNoir Absolu... voila OudMalaki. Unfortunately it's not as stunning as it sounds. Too formal, and stuffy for me.

Roja Dove - H Black Tier: STRONK leather opening, but very rich. I'm like papillo, normally I hate leather notes (even tuscan leather) but this smells like leather with a bit of lavender? This is not a crowd pleasing roja by any stretch. This is for people that like the complex stuff like Creation-E. Think of the snobbiest lawyer/accountant you've ever seen walking around NYC with a $4,000 brief case, Patek Philippe watch, and allen edmond shoes. That's this fragrance. If I have any social events where i'm going to an upscale steakhouse, i'll reach for this.

Edit: just checked the notes listing and there's no leather listed at all. I'm guessing it's the pepper and "Casmir Wood" together that gave off a leather aroma. Strange concoction.

Roja Dove - Great Britain: Even though I don't like leather, I've heard people call this "the greatest leather fragrance ever created" so much anticipate. Initial impression, this is creation-E on steroids if you could even imagine such a thing. I'm a bit confused. H Black Tier smells like one walked into a luxury leather jacket boutique. GB smells like a highly concentrated assortment of spices and booze that fans of Creation-E deemed "coca cola smell". I'll wear it on my neck and jacket during the commute home and follow up with a better breakdown. So far H-BlackTier smells of rich leather, GB smells like a mix of bourbon, nutmeg, leather and snobbery. I dig it. Make Creation-E less polarizing and spike the concentration... Roja Great Britain.

Might have been a mistake since it's supposed to "warm up" to almost 50.

Didn't completely dun goof'd but I definitely prefer that one for cooler evenings. Great scent though.

Yeah, it still is "chilly" (mid 40s), but it's been in the sub 0 temps for a week or so. So this feels "warm."

Nice. did you get any fruity notes from Black Tier at all? I still haven't tried that one yet. It gets compared to O exclusive which has a ton of raspberry.

Absolutely, the "lavender" I was picking up turns out to be the Violet and Raspberry listed in the top notes. After sitting with this though it made me think of Byredo's Bibliotheque. I would get a sample/decant if you're interested in this type of scent. Bibliotheque has peach and plum (fun combo) in the top note with Leather/Patchouli/Vanilla in the base notes. Won't be Roja quality obviously, but it's above designer tier and it smells great from what I remember.

Fun Fact: Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche arrived today. This is the one I've been pimping to people as a fresh/clean dumb reach for the summer. Remembered I still had Prada L’Homme and put them up head to head. Prada way better simply because it doesn't have that mildly-stank "Chanel Allure" dna. Will be pointing people to the Prada from now on (and Byredo Blanche) for this genre.


Byredo Oud Immortel and Bal D'Afrique arrived as well. Was instant feels after smelling them. These were the frags that introduced me to niche. It was like a "come to Jesus" moment where I realized, sure you can spend 3, 4, 500 on a Roja that will have god-tier development, but no one will really notice but you cause they don't project a ton and how much more are you going to enjoy them in reality? If I'm still enjoying these at the end of their 10ml decants. I'm hauling in full bottles of Bal D'Afrique, Oud Immortel, and Bibliotheque. My wallet will be forever grateful if I can kick Rojas for good.

Nice. Have you tried Hermes Vetiver Tonka? It’s somewhat in the ballpark.
