You should only post in this thread if you are participating or giving advice, encouragement etc to people. No off topic talk. Thread member goal updates should be as often as you feel but at least once a week.
I just want to create a thread where myself and other people can publicly state their goals and get advice / update progress on them. Your post should include a “GOALS” section. Goals must be somewhat specific with a time frame for completion. You can also ask for advice and have an “about me” section. Also I may delete my bb.com username and start a new one in April so I have a clean slate on this website.
GOALS:
PRIMARY
1. Go to gym 6 days a week for the next 90 days to reach maximum potential. (by March 31st)
2. Attain my second personal trainer certification in the next 90 days. (by March 31st)
3. Apply for personal trainer positions at the end of March or sooner.
ADDITIONAL
3. Visit my disabled friend at least once a month
4. Remove video games, tv/movies/internet as options for my spare time unless a friend is involved.
5. Mail my mother a card once a month around the 1st.
6. Continued sobriety
7. Continue my spiritual journey by joining a church near me and volunteering. When I was a kid there were organizations that would send people dressed as clowns or superheroes to childrens hospitals. I would like to do something of this nature.

For two months, me and some buds will workout at least 5 times a week and be sober. I have some drinking problems that hinder my health and progress so this will be a nice test. I did a 2 week sober run and felt really great, then the holidays came. So hoping this will become a long term sobriety thing. Good luck everybody.

-Hit my personal goals in the gym and other aspects of life, mainly graduating HS with a good GPA and getting accepted into my college of choice.
-Write in a journal about the problems that plague my mental health. I'm going to be buying one tomorrow and writing in it. My own personal diary if you will.
-Stop giving a chit what others think. It's time to be a bad-boy. Say whatever I wanna say, and fuk getting judged. No more getting walked on IRL.Gym Lifts:

1. More barbell work in the gym with progressive overload
2. Gain solid experience these next 6 months with project examples for my portfolio so I can apply and switch jobs in a more preferred location
3. Read more books
4. Cook new foods/recipes more frequently (while staying on my macros which is the real challenge to balance it)
5. Have a more positive mindset
6. Visit my friend in Colorado at least twice this year
7. Travel more and do new things (either locally in the area or within the US. Not interested in leaving the country for now)
All are primary
Already started working on numbers 1, 2, 3 & 4.
Admittedly the traveling and exploring is less likely to take off the next month or two until I’ve accumulated a little more money.
I do need to work on being more positive thoughLast edited by SoutheastBeast1; 01-02-2019 at 08:39 PM.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Good thread OP, not sure if anyone will try to give each other advice or if it will just be miscers posting up random goals and never checking in again, but here goes:
I took a few steps down at work when my daughter was born so I could maximize my time with her and time to help my wife (she runs her own business), but my daughter will be starting school this September so looking to start my own business and quit current career by end of year.
WORK GOALS (aiming to start moonlighting by June 2019):
1. Research all start up costs as well as estimated monthly overhead / operating costs - by Feb 1, 2019
2. Research suppliers locations to establish a realistic area of service (Toronto area) - by Feb 1, 2019
PERSONAL GOALS:
1. Drop 25 pounds, currently 204 and going for 180 lbs. Getting old and chasing muscles that I couldn't seem to catch 10 years ago seems stupid. Just looking to be in good shape - June 1, 2019
2. Increase cardio. I have asthma and when winter starts it really hits me. I run 5 miles or so every couple of days which is helpful, but I will slowly start decrease to total amount of "jogging" and slowly adding in sprints - Ongoing 2019
3. Reduce alcohol consumption, currently doesn't affect me whatsoever but headed for trouble (kill a 750 ml of whiskey on a Friday or Saturday)...I am not a spring chicken so concerned about heart health. Looking to only drink at gatherings and limit 2 drinks.

Primary
1. Stay positive at the gym and quit mentally bringing myself down.
2. Get back on ritalin (prescription). I need it because without it I am way less productive at work and everything goes by like a blur in life
3. Keep focusing on my hobbies like collecting Sega Genesis and Sega Master System games.
Secondary:
4. Keep striving for mini goals and create new challenges. (thanks miscer brahs for that advice)
5. Always focus on staying mentally positive
6. Dont fall back into depending on caffeine.NDSU Crew

This was me, I was over a month sober, and in all honesty willingly folded to the temptations of alcohol. I guess that's the sign of an alcoholic. It did teach me one valuable lesson though, I can go without it, and it wasn't as bad as I thought.
So my primary goals this year are.
1. Sobriety
2. Gym: Drop 40lbs. Gym A. create the discipline to keep it off (forever).
3. READ, READ, READ. 1 book per month is plenty, so if you guys have any good recommendations, please...I'm all ears.
4. Be a better man, husband, son and friend.
5. Stop procrastinating. No man is your friend
No man is your enemy

I had a rough year in 2018. Mostly due to some personal issues that carried over from 2017 and let it continue to snowball last year.
Short term goals
1. move out of the northeast to somewhere south (preferably NC or GA)
1b. get a new job
2. Find healthy ways to handle my current toxic job/work environment. I was binge eating fast food and not taking care of myself physically.
3. Lose 10 lbs in the next 2 months
Long(er) term goals
1. Start going to a therapist to help with my depression/anxiety. My dad's passing seemed to effect me more than I originally thought based on how I've been treating myself the past 2 years.
2. Get back down to 190 lbs (currently at 240)
3. Take more chances in life (moving down south is a start)
4. Try to help my mom with downsizing so she can move
5. Once mentally ready, get a GF
Good luck to you all in 2019.My workout journal - more than just a workout journal. I am using this to hopefully bring hope/inspiration to those dealing with illnesses such as cancer like I have witnessed with the passing of my father in Jan. 2017 due to cancer.

Awesome thread. In.
2019 Primary Goals:
1. Continue to be a kickass father to my child and husband to my wife.
2. Cut total BF% in half by year-end (yea, I'm a fat fook).
3. Accept an offer at a higher paying job.
2019 Secondary Goals:
1. Learn a new hobby every 90 days (for some reason, knife throwing is high on my list).
2. Learn to successfully execute a backflip (probably closer to end of year when I'm not a complete fat fook).
3. Find a way to gradually adopt a more optimistic outlook.
4. Eliminate alcohol from my life completely - probably will help all the other goals fall in line a lot quicker.Advocate for the Extinction of Starfish as a Species

3 goals
1) Start lifting weights again - Haven't lift any weights since I herniated a disc in 2016
2) Have 3-5 fights this year - Had 4 in 2018, beat Spanish ranked dude in 2017 in Madrid but never managed to step up a level
3) Slow my green smoking down - Most important one, I use to really enjoy smoking ganja but now I use it just to feel normal.... Gonna take some perseverance.

PRIMARY
1. Stop falling for the bulking meme as a natty. Get to 10% bf and stay in the 9-13% range for the rest of my life while making peace with the fact I'm already at the diminished returns stage of BBing (nearly a decade of lifting)
2. Manage to balance school work with an interniship and excel at both
3. Get myself out there and meet like-minded people. Even though I have a great family and girlfriend and never feel truly "lonely", I had a slow and gradual fallout with some friends who have too much of a Peter Pan Syndrome and I feel I need more male people in my social circle. Gotta have some bois to crack open a cold one with
SECONDARY
4. Also focus on mobility (becoming an old **** at 23-24, lol, sitting all day at CS classes and programming is making my hips and legs pretty stiff)
5. Join a sports team. It's been too long since I've done anything other than lifting. This can possibly help with GOAL 3
6. Getting more sensible with my drinking. I want to focus on getting a nice and subtle buzz for 4 hours instead of wanting to do it all in the first hour I'm at the party/club

4)Keep working on social skills, meeting new people and expanding a social circle
