Harbor Freight rules. If you don't like HF, fight me.

Brb, need a tool I will use once a year and will likely lose it before I ever break it.
Brb, gonna buy an angle grinder for 10 bucks and then get a free tarp\headlight\blowjob
Brb, gonna buy a 2 cycle engine and attach it to a go-kart made from scaffolding I found by the dumpster.

Yeah okay glad your metric butt plug is holding up otherwise you'll have to wait for the truck for a few weeks.

Snap-On is like a street taco vendor except they sell tools to tradie chads.

Being a weekend Tradie of sorts i find Harbor Freight stuff fulfills my needs quite adequately. I've built decks with their chop/circular saws, replaced a lawn mower engine that still runs and starts first pull goin on 3 years for under 100 bucks, hammerdrill for going thru my cement block foundation, etc. Never been let down so far.

They're good for small tools that you might need once in a while. I usually do Craftsman or Husky.

I worked at Sears in college and have a garage full of craftsman handtools as a result. Pretty sure they're going to go out of business and the lifetime warranty will be useless but whatevs for now and I haven't even had to replace any of it.

Lowes now carries the Craftsman brand and if I heard right they honor the lifetime warranty. At least I hope they do because most of my ratchets , sockets, and wrenches are Craftsman

This mother ****ers up in the hardware store with his metal detector checking jack stands for nickel content.

China stuff doesn't bother me so much. America is a quatinery economy so it's questionable why anyone would manufacture things here, and even with the sticker sometimes they're just saying it's assembled here by some minimum wage cuck.

just be aware that if you warranty a USA made craftsman tool, odds are you're getting a chinese one back

i went to warranty a 1/2" thin profile ratchet a few years back and the dude's like "just grab one off the shelf if you don't want to wait for the repair" and i didn't notice for upwards of a year that i got a chinese one in return

those HF jack stands are one of the best things in the store, besides you shouldn't be loading a jackstand to its limit or relying on it alone anyway

I love harbor freight, but you have to be careful what you buy there. Luckily there’s tons of places online that review HF stuff, so you can parse through what’s junk and what’s decent.
I very hesitantly bought a sliding, beveling miter saw from them for like 90 bucks. So far so good.
One thing they consistently get good reviews on is their US General tool boxes.

Would never buy a toolbox anywhere except HF crew.

We used to let people write their phone number down and the guy that gutted them in the back would just call and tell them to come pick it up when it was done.

Probably chinese guts now anyways though lol.

I agree HF is great. I buy a lot of my tools there and have easily spent a couple grand. The only thing I have bought there that I won't buy again is reciprocator saw blades. They are junk. Otherwise I've bought hand tools, air tools, transmission lift, chain, misc stuff, etc etc etc.

HF has some decent stuff. I usually stay away from their power tools, but most hand tools are decent.

I also have 2 of their 44" tool boxes that are really nice for the money.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
