In case anyone is shopping for a Buffalo Bar, Vulcan Strength now has one available. No idea how good it is, but generally their power bars are known for quality (love mine). This might be worth considering.

I was gonna comment that price seemed steep for a bar that although very nice probably came out of same factories as much cheaper options then I saw the Made in USA and 30mm shaft. looks like an interesting alternative to both the cheaper and more expensive curved barbells.

Duffalo Bar killer?
Who's going to pull the trigger?
I'm dying to see if it doesn't flip all over the place like my duffalo bar does & if it also sits in the j-cups w/o sliding all over the place, unless I put chalk all over my j-cups.Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

I got this one from Strength Shop on Black Friday for $150
https://www.strengthshopusa.com/buffalo-bar
And I love it. It's odd to me that people are seeking an alternative to a Duffalo bar when a buffalo bar itself will accomplish the majority of what a Duffalo bar so much cheaper.Last edited by jamesovercome; 01-01-2019 at 07:12 AM.

Titan, really? There's not even center knurling. I couldn't use it for low bar squatting. Even the pictures on Titan's site show the guy using high bar. Just buy a SSB, lol. Not sure about other people here, but my training weight exceeds to max this bar can handle (500 lb).
NYBB's version has center knurling, but barely any arc. It's also 32mm. I think the Duffalo is 30mm. This is a pro or con depending on how you look at it.
I don't feel either the Titan or NYBB's version are comparable.
Vulcan at least has a similar arc and knurling locations and is also 30mm.
The only questions I have are overall length, curvature compared to the Duffalo, who the knurling compares, how the zinc holds up and what the bar weight is.
Do you know if he owns a Duffalo?
That would be one hell of a review if he can place one next to the other.Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

Very well, but we are taling about a sub $100 bar, I think it was $85 shipped during the last sale. That's one HELL of a bench bar, and should be perfectly fine for moderate squatting (most people are under 500lbs). I do all my heavy leg work on the Titan belt squat, which has been an amazing piece of equipment thus far.

Can you get some pics of it. Wondering if it has more curve then the ny or ader bar. As they don't have much
I'm probably going to get this one as it's 35mm, looks like it had more curve and I have a $100 gift certificate from winning a powerlifting meet.
35mm wil take more weight regardless of the tensile rating.Best Raw total 1850 at 181 lbs

If the NYBB is the same as the Westside mega bow bar, which many say it is, then the center knurl sucks really bad. The bar is a POS. Knurl is very mild and poorly done across the entire bar. The sleeves are bolted on. The chrome is cheap and rusted through easily.
But there's two things going for it. It's cheap and has proven its ability to stand up to a lot of abuse and weight at Westside.
They also tape up the center. And no it's not ideal and feels odd sticking to the shirt when getting into position. Same with my chambered bar too.My Training Journal: http://tinyurl.com/jasons-journal

I bought the Titan Bison bar on sale for $90 and have been very happy with it. It is great for benching. I added some Wilson Overgrip tennis racket tape to the center of the bar to add some grip and now it works well for squats too. I am a sub-400 pound squatter and for me the bar was a great value and purchase.

Thanks for the confirmation! I'm thinking about giving it a shot when it's back in stock. For some reason my left elbow and right shoulder have been acting up while squatting, have been going a little heavier than usual lately since my legs have felt strong. I'm also curious to see how well it would sit on my rack, since the mono's are slightly offset maybe the shorter Bison bar would not have issues like others have experienced with the Duffalo.

I'm really used to whippy bars (Ivanko OBX-20kg, Iron Wolfe Squat Bar (not heat treated) & my Duffalo), but I have noticed that pulling 25kg plates off of it really makes it spring back to it's original shame. I didn't notice the bar being too bouncy, but I've only squatted over 600 with it once.
How much have you squatted with your duffalo? How bad was it closer to 700 if you put that much on it?
Looking forward to this!Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

Has anyone gotten an answer back from Vulcan relating to whether or not this bar is actually 100% made over here? I've sent them an email as have several others and none of us has heard a response back. I've mentioned in the other Buffalo Bar thread that I suspect that the parts of this bar are made overseas and assembled here. I say that because I've noticed Vulcan has decided to make a clear difference on their own site that bars are either "Made in the USA" or "100% Made in the USA." Safe to assume that not hearing an answer back means the bars parts are made overseas?
