Its sad how the number of weekly weigh-ins has dropped off so dramatically. I guess its akin to all those new gym memberships who slowly start fading away at the end of January.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.

Just wanted to give props to everyone who is still in on this thread. These helped me out a great deal back when I was active on the forum simply by adding a small level of accountability on my progress and I found that to be a very motivating factor.

Personally, I've been away for too long and let myself slip too far. I'll be following this thread for the remainder of the month and plan on being part of the next one.

Keep up the great work everyone!!

JSim I don't suppose you want to keep this going for another 30 days? Most people are probably going to fall short of their goal and 8 weeks is a pretty short amount of time for a full on cut. There are some people here that are really taking this seriously and I think this thread helps keep them focused and disciplined. I know its a lot of work to keep the spreadsheet up, but I would hate to see this end early.

walked 2.4 miles in 40 minutes on lunch. at 7300 steps.
    Tonight deads and overhead squats.
Plus doing stuff around the house on my feet.

cals and macs will end up good for end of day if I stick to the meal plan.

    Week 1 Average - 174.8
    Week 2 - 174.3
    Week 3 - 172.7
    Week 4 - 171.2
    Week 5 - 169.7
    Week 6 - 169.3

Without doubt my worst week in my 6 and a half months of dieting. The first cheat WEEK I have had. Was eating crisps and biscuits every day, wasn't tracking my macros or calories, wasn't eating enough protein, and did no exercise at all. How I managed to not put weight on I don't know. To be honest, it was probably due to the fact I weighed in on the Monday at 167.8 lbs because I had days this week where I was back over 170. Finished up on the Sunday at 169.7 which was the same as I was the previous Sunday. First weigh in of the week today was 168.2 so and I managed to get back on track with my diet today thankfully. Didn't exercise though which pissed me off. Need to exercise tomorrow. I won't let myself fall back in to the way I was. You let it go on for even just a couple weeks and before you know it you're back to what you used to be. 6 months of dieting got to me mentally last week after I treated myself for the first time. Won't happen again. I'm 14 lbs away from my ultimate target of 155 after starting at 210 back in August so I won't stop now.

on a related note I crapped more today than I have all week and that was after my morning weigh-in so i'm confident i'll see a 2-3lb drop for this week.

    Target Weight: 205.0

    Start Weight: 229.3
    Week One: 222.3 (-7.0lbs)
    Week Two: 221.1 (-1.2lbs)
    Week Three: 219.3 (-1.8lbs)
    Week Four 220.0 (+0.7lbs)
    Week Five: 217.5 (-2.5lbs)
    Week Six: 216.9 (-0.6lbs)
    Week Seven: 216.6 (-0.3lbs)

Actually happy with a small loss. I had a bad first couple of days then my mum was in hospital. She’s fine now but couldn’t really stick to my diet or exercise while she was in. I was actually a little bloated this morning and the last couple of days I weighed lower so I think my “true” weight is lower but we’ll see next week.

This is the type of week where i’d have caved in before and been one of those who dropped out of this group.

What stall? 20 lbs in six weeks and weight dropping every week? You are crushing it!
Thanks man, yeah i know, but weight fluctuates during the week, and somehow i've been "lucky" to reach the lowest number every friday, and then maybe go up 1 or 2 days afterwards. But yeah in the long run im loosing so its no problem, just demotivating when your not loosing weight EVERY day

Since last friday ive been weighing a couple of pounds more each day and today (Friday) im at the same weight as a week ago. But still this has been with no exercise at all during the entire time. Just aiming at around 1800kcal eating whatever i want (no sweets or snacks though).

    Starting weight: 260lbs
    Goal: 218lbs

    Week 1: Friday 4th January - 254,4lbs
    Week 2: Friday 11th January - 252,4lbs
    Week 3: Friday 18th January - 247,1lbs
    Week 4: Friday 25th January - 245,8 lbs
    Week 5: Friday 1st February - 243,1 lbs
    Week 6: Friday 8th February - 239,2 lbs
    Week 7: Friday 15th February - 239,2 lbs
    Week 8: Friday 22nd February

1.1 lbs loss for me this week. Tomorrow I have a cheat day as I go to snowboarding and I will eat the food that is available at the ski resort and I don't planning on counting my calories. Sunday it is back to grind.

I know its a lot of work to keep the spreadsheet up, but I would hate to see this end early.
I think it is better to re-create this thread every couple of months due to people dropping out. For people who are serious and cut longer I don't see an issue continuing in the next thread from where they finished the previous one. New thread always brings new people in these challenges and most of them drop out, but every now and then there is new people joining who will stick with it.

    Aiming for 245

    Week 1: Friday 4th January......254.6
    Week 2: Friday 11th January....251.8
    Week 3: Friday 18th January....249.2
    Week 4: Friday 25th January....249.6
    Week 5: Friday 1st February....250.4
    Week 6: Friday 8th February....249.0
    Week 7: Friday 15th February..250.0
    Week 8: Friday 22nd February

Weighed myself each day this week, varied between 246.7 and 248.3....... comes to this morning and the scales showed 250.0 couldn’t believe it.

(I did lay a new floor yesterday in the room where I get weighed, not sure if that made an impact on the scales reading but will probably be able to work it out over the coming week, not looking for an excuse btw it just shows me I need to push a lot harder to get where I want to be)

Moved my scale like 5 inches the other day while weighing. Weight changed to 3lbs more. So kinda sucks when you loose track and dont know what number to believe. My scale is a pretty expensive one, so shouldnt be a quality issue.

One morning i suddenly lost 10lbs overnight. couldnt beleive it. Then found out there was a sock underneath

Weighed a day early a few posts above. Today is the real day!

    Week 1: Friday 4th January - 233.00
    Week 2: Friday 11th January - 229.00
    Week 3: Friday 18th January - 229.00
    Week 4: Friday 25th January - 224.00
    Week 5: Friday 1st February- 222.60
    Week 6: Friday 8th February- 221.60
    Week 7: Friday 15th February- 219.7
    Week 8: Friday 22nd February

So stoked about the progress. Firm believer that it's too hard to reach goals without meticulous tracking. I track every calorie that goes in my body and every calorie that goes out. Down to each and every beer! (if it fits in my daily calorie budget)

I splurge quite a bit on Saturdays but if I drink during the week it must fit in my calorie budget, which right now is 2067 per day.

I go extra hard in my F45 workout on Saturdays to be able to fit in a handful of extra brews ha.

I used to splurge on weekends and still drop ~3lbs/week.
but cutting back on that so I don't have to be as strict during the week.
