Tonight is gonna be my first cheat meal, celebrating assignment results and picking up a Chinese. I bought food scales last week to help me out this time around, I lost just under 40lbs without them about 18 months ago, but I'm looking forward to weighing my Chinese food and seeing how accurate my guesses in the past had been!

I have the strips but they are only accurate until the body adapts. I thought of buying a blood meter but I'm not ready to invest in one yet.

    Starting weight/ friday 4th weight: 219.8
    Goal weight: 205

    Week 1: Friday 4th January 219.8
    Week 2: Friday 11th January 217.2 (-2.6)

With 6 weeks left I still feel 205 is a reasonable goal, I don't want it to be too obtainable or too unobtainable. I was expecting a slightly larger loss of weight due to glycogen and water weight but I attribute this not happening to a couple things. My initial weigh in was at 11 am whereas my new weigh in was at 6:30 am (less time for food to digest). I also had roughly 50g more carbs than usual last night to make up for lack of protein and that can result in more glycogen being stored/water retained.

Either way I'm pleased with this past week, ate well and worked out consistently. Ready to do it all again this week.

    Week 2 - 283 (no change)

    Starting weight: 284
    Goal Weight: 264

    Week 1 : Friday 4th January - 283
    Week 2: Friday 11th January - 283

I was down more early in the week, but I really blew up after a big steak dinner midweek. It has been a long time since I had a steak (16 ounce bison ribeye) - it was delicious! I am glad to be back down to where I was last week and am hoping for a better result next week.

    Traget Weight: 205.0

    Start Weight: 229.3
    Week One: 222.3 (-7.0lbs)
    Week Two: 221.1 (-1.2lbs)

A 1.2lbs loss isn’t too bad. I actually weighed a bit lower the last couple of days but i’m taking my usual weigh in day for consistancy. I had a harder time tracking calories on a couple of days this week as I had to eat out or have meals cooked for me. I always chose the healthier option and skipped dessert though and I think i’m pretty decent at estimating calories now.

Does anyone else find they weigh more the day after lifting? I often (but not always) do. I usually workout at about 7pm and weigh in the next day at 6am so I wondered if it could still be a little extra being held in the muscles or something.

My only starting issue is my scale only goes to 350 so other than going to the docs I can't weight myself until I'm under 350.

By the pharmacy at Walmart is usually a blood pressure machine. It also has an option for weight as well. If you can't afford to buy a new scale use the Walmart one. It may not be 100% accurate but it'll be enough to track your progress.

Speaking of scales...my food scale is broke. I noticed tonight that it isn't reading right. I was weighing out some meat and when I removed some the weight on the scale went UP!!! I shut it off and turned it back on before reweighing the meat. It went back to normal but at a lower weight than it was previously.
I don't know if it was dropped, gotten wet, or if it's just cheap and not lasting. I also don't know how long it's been acting stupid. I'll buy a new one on Friday but I'm very annoyed.

A couple of months a go I bought new food scale as the previous one was not working. Now with the new scale it sometimes says "low battery" even though battery is brand new and the tare weight function does not work always. The stupid button does not always reset the weight to zero so I have to keep pressing it several times every time I want to use. Small, but annoying things...
