    Does deadlifting make ur hips wider or not?

    Does making deadlifts make you to lose your V shape or not? Just curious because i wanna know should i start to do it.

    Or does making deadlifts make one to lose one's V(irginity)?

    It will give you a refrigerator physique, not because of the hips, but because it builds up the obliques.

    keep in mind you have to be a hardcore deadlifter like Pete Rubish to get to that level. Deadlifts once or twice per week isn't going to hurt anything

    and regardless you can still counter balance the oblique development by emphasizing lats with pullups and the lat pulldown machine.

    If you're debating whether or not you should deadlift, you shouldn't be. There are very few (i'd wager none) exercises that are better at building core strength.

    Great thanks to all answerers, i now decided i'll do deadlifting. (Even though i see sometimes some miscers doing ''Lol@ deadlifting'' threads, which were reason for even considering this whole thing). Traps are very important thing imo, also erectors are nice. Also i like the burn in forearms. Also, i feel like the deadlift is maybe the most alpha movement in bodybuilding/strength training.

    They will take away from the V shape, yes. Whether that's because the hips actually get wider, or because of more muscle in that area is probably irrelevant to what you're concerned about... which I'm guessing is the fact that they take away from the V shape
