Question Looking To Build Up Grip Strength -- Suggestions?

After pulling something in my left wrist last week and now pulled something in my right forearm, I now realize that my grip strength is the issue. I've generally done reverse bar curls and bar rolls on biceps days and relied on just the use of my grip on other exercises to be enough to bring things up equal. Apparently this is no longer the case.

I know there are plenty of different exercises to help increase grip strength, but looking for some ideas of what has worked best for others. I do not want to start relying on lifting straps this early, so looking for a good way to bring my grip strength up to where it should be so I can continue my growth in other areas.

Plan is to re-work my split so I have a dedicated arm day to accomplish this while going with slightly lighter weights and lower volume on my push and pulls until I have things balanced out a little better.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

I agree with a lot of the suggested methods above. I would just like to add "Fat Grips" and hand grips (different levels)

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have already been doing both bar and db shrugs. Unfortunately I can't do deadlifts. My gym only has a smith machine and db for free weights. The gyms with all the "good" equipment is 40 to 50 bucks more a month in my area and budget constraints just don't allow spending that kind of cash.

I did order a set of hand grips already. I think I'll had some bar hangs and plate pinches in there to try and round things out.

You may want to go to the site"the grip board".
Everything to do with grip type training.
You may get some better answers there.

    Pull ups with fat grips.
    Wrist roller.
Old technique my dad used for judo: get a towel, dunk in water, and wring out dry into a bath.
