Hey lads, just have a simple question to ask for those that have had experience with exceeding macros by a little bit, I'm still trying to grasp total knowledge on macros.
I'm currently
77kg
177cm tall
20 y/o
20%ish bf
Been training for around 2 weeks, lifts are going up each week.
2450 calories to maintain - i'm bulking at 3000 calories 160g p/80g fat/385g carbs --
these are my current macros, but i've put together a diet that i enjoy eating, but it exceeds the macros a little - 2996, PCF = 209.7/317.1(keeping the carbs a bit lower to see how it affects me)/99.3
do you think this is going to affect me in strong weight gain? i'm going to run it for about a month and see if anything is looking bad - but if there is any advice that you can give me before I hit a bad spot and have to find out the hard way that'd be completely appreciated - cheers.

Do you think exceeding these macros by a tad will promote excessive weight gain?

77 kg, 177, 20%. Striving for weight gain is not a good idea. Instead eat enough to make progress on a good routine.
