    If it were heavy maybe. Just do farmer carries with real weights. Not going to improve grip strength with what I'm guessing is about 2.5lbs.

    Grip endurance strength with the light weight and grip finger strength,more weight needed for absolute strength.
    Also research other grip strength methods.
    Pinch ,supportive and crushing are other grip strengths to consider.
