About me:
I'm 19 years old been training seriously for about a year now. I thought I spent most of it spinning my wheels honestly never decided if I wanted to bulk or cut due to starting at an insane weight of 230+lbs. Obsessed by training and having a year to do what I want before I go to study at university I'm gonna get in the best shape of my life!
Problems I encountered:
- Counting macros from day 1 led to binge eating disorder which has now passed
- I love partying, 3-4 times a week
- Pressing movements always sucked with me and were my favourite
Stats:
-19 yr old
-14-16% BF
-195lbs
- 5 Plate deadlift, 2 plate bench, 1 plate OHP, 4 plate squat
My current progress is attached. I had been doing 3x5 now transitioning into my own split, training 5-6 days a week because I enjoy being active and athletic more so than maximising strength gains.
Today was Shoulders and Bench press
3x5 Bench Press.
3x8 DB Shoulder Press
3x10-12 Upright row
3x16 Lateral Raises
3x16 Rear Delt Flyes
3x10-12 Shrugs
Man was this workout rough. Lacked my superman feeling that I have been rocking lately. Only managed 85kg for 4, then 82.5kg for 5,4. Wasn't very great just overall lethargic. Shoulders went fine I pushed through. Becoming very vascular in the shoulders and chest. Hopefully I'ma recover on my rest day tomorrow and hit a full body on Saturday.
Today was legs in a Anytime Fitness Gym. They didn't have any calves machines so had to make due with leg press.
3x12 Squat
3x16 Leg Press
3x16-20-12 Quad Extension
3x8-12 Hamstring Curl
1x8 Stiffleg deadlift
4xFeelingBurn Calves
Had lowerback pain when I started, from lack of sleep and taking things that have made me demotivated lately. Lowered the dose of those and bam I feel like superman again. Squats I kept nice and light at 2 plates. I upped it to 3 plates and did a set of 3 just to test my lower back. It felt like a 8 rep max usually feels like a 12 rep max. Not to fret as everything ran smoothly and under high intensity. Looking forward to back day tomorrow. May sub with heavy rows this workout over deadlift depending on lowerback fatigue tomorrow morning!
