Be honest, do you actually love and enjoy your life?

It's got its ups and downs. I've got a house and a loving GF, good family, good friends.

But I absolutely 100% hate my job. Have 24 hour call shifts (which are usually 28+ hours) every few days and have to do a lot of reading outside of work so that I don't hurt anyone. Constantly tired all the time and get no satisfaction from the work whatsoever. Would quit but it would screw over my coworkers (who I'm friends with) and I've got a lot of loans to pay off.

Basically, I've just been stuck in a state of annoyance/dissatisfaction for the past few years and haven't really enjoyed much.

to be honest, I feel happy pretty often...but I do have 2 o 3 days a month that I feel like chit, depressed and negative about everything

Can things get better? Sure, of course and it's a work in progress.

But overall, no complaints!

I think it's mostly that I'm not content. I just wonder what my purpose for being here is. I'm as alone as alone can be. 100% single for 5 years now with no end in sight. I'm a giver and honestly, having no one to give to is killing me on the inside. Yes I have my son, but it's not the same. And I'm tired. I'm tired of the daily grind and doing every single thing that needs to be done in my life by myself. Always struggling. Not having the luxery of having a partner in life. On top of all that my friends circle has fallen apart. Everyone is going through stuff right now and we haven't gotten together in months and months, didn't even have Friendsgiving this year which I was really looking forward to. My ex walked out on 17 years right into a relationship with someone else. Spent not one day truly alone. I can't say he cheated as I have no proof, but he definitely monkey branched while I was busy being a loyal wife. Here I am alone 5 years later. Just fukking lmao. How is that fair? Am I just destined to be alone for the rest of my life? If so, I don't understand why. Honestly if I have to live this life for many more years, I'd rather just drop dead. /dear diary

Damn, I had no idea, Legz. I'm really sorry, that brings all sorts of feels up in my heart for you.

Is there anything in your life (or even formerly) that brings you joy? I never, ever thought I'd start going to synagogue again but it's brought me an incredible amount of happiness and contentment in addition to a giant and new circle of friends. I'm not saying you need to find a church to go to if you're not religious, but something similar you could throw yourself into?
