Time to switch program? (FIERCE 5) (PIC)

Hi. I’ve been using Fierce 5 for a year now. Should i switch program now or keep using it? I’ve been using almost the same weights on most exercises for a long time. Maybe I should have changed program a long time ago. Pic in avi.

Are you saying you are stalled on the weight, or, have you not added weight like it says to do?

If stalled, look into another program.

So, which F5 program are you using?

I'm using the "Novice Routine" I also lifted a few years before that but I had no idea what I was doing. I dont think I have stalled forever, I could probably add a little weight every week if I wanted to but I just stopped doing that and just added a little weight when I felt like it

So the question is do I only switch program if I have stalled and can't add more weight or how long can/should you stay on the same program? Have I not built a base yet? After a whole year of Fierce 5?

You've not been following the program apparently if you haven't added weight exvepptiting resets every week you were on it

I'm 5'6" and you weigh give or take, 6lbs more than I do..so why would you cut?

The whole idea of the program is to add weight every week. 5 lbs for upper body exercises minus the fluff stuff, and 10 lbs a week to lower body exercises. So from what you are saying is that you did not follow the program as written? I ask this, cause yes, the only time you move on to another program from a novice program is when you can no longer add weight. But, if you have been on it for a yr, then move to something different out of boredom works for me as well.

No clue how your base is...what do your lifts look like?

    Bench? -

    Squat? -

    Deadlift? -

What weights did you use the last time you trained?

    "probably suck" and "like around"

    How do you not know?

According to your pic, you need to eat more and continue adding weight as the program says to.

    Seems like you aren't sure.

Why is your squat 20kg higher than your DL, are you squatting to depth or doing a half squat?

    Let's address the Avi first.

No, you do not need to cut...you are still pretty thin for your height.

Now, the other issue....since you don't care about strength, then let's figure out what your goal is?

Most people here say wrong stuff to you. You should do FEWER sets. The workouts that people advise in this forum have too many sets to see result. Either you do fewer sets while lifting heavy or you will never see results and keep hearing people telling you "you have to eat more bro".

So I can run the same program for years if I never stall? And I’m feeling a bit fat but you’re saying it looks like I don’t even lift and I have to eat more. Correct?

You want to use the lowest volume you can grow with. If you start with a higher volume it gives you no where to go once it stops working. That's why most novice programs are full body. Most people usually require more volume after about a year or so. By that time the average person should be nearing 225/315/405 numbers. That's when you could make the switch to an upper/lower split since u/l is usually about 50 percent more volume. Frequency then goes down but 2x week is still optimal.

That's when you could make the switch to an upper/lower split since u/l is usually about 50 percent more volume. Frequency then goes down but 2x week is still optimal.
Are those 1 rep numbers? Or in lbs?

I'd say shoot for a 1 rep max with those numbers (in lbs). Follow the novice progression and you'll get there quick.
