It was definitely exciting but I guess the emotional investment in the game has dwindled for me. It also could be that everything has been out of whack with sports and all that I just never got amped up for the season. I'm a hockey fan and I've only watched one game this entire Stanley cup playoffs. Haven't watched one baseball game either.

I'm torn on this season, I'm not nearly as emotionally invested as I was with Brady, I don't have high hopes given the roster and I'm okay with a losing season for the benefits of a rebuild...
but on the other hand I really want Cam to do well, he's on track to be come back player of the year for sure, and I'd like to see us get him some weapons if we're gonna try to win. I'm fine with whatever outcome this year but I'm rooting for Cam

Samsies. I love what Cam brings to the offense. 6'5" 245lbs with speed and power to run over guys. His running ability in the red zone is going to be big when McDaniels learns how to play call for him. As long as Cam doesn't turn the ball over and plays with this chip on his shoulder, it's going to be a fun season.
Raiders next week which I think we should win if our defense can eliminate giving up big plays again. Week 4 we go to KC which hopefully will be a great game. I'm going to try and get tickets for itNew England Patriot

As good as the Raiders have played thus far, it should be a good game.
I was never a huge fan of Newton, but always loved watching him play, and I don't think I can recall him being a "cry baby" Dude was pissed after losing to the Bronco's in the Superbowl and stormed out during the press conference, but you just sound like a Negative Nancy.

Another solid win against a pretty decent Raiders. Cam played good enough to win. With Andrews out, we still seemed to hold up well enough. Cam's ability to scramble and extend plays is refreshing and will help hide our offensive line issues.
Michel had a great game, but he seems so slow in the open field. Maybe it's just me. Burkhead played amazing. With White out, he's really stepped up and played very well.
Defense still is leaving a bit to be desired, but we're getting it done. The end of the half TD they gave up was very frustrating. Great game plan against Waller. Gave up a garbage time TD too.
All in all, nice to see the team playing well and hoping we continue to keep getting better.New England Patriot

I might be slowly getting the excitement back again. I was watching some of the game while working on a painting. I got excited when Burkhead scored, when Edelman had a nice catch and gain, and even yelled at Cam for making a bad pass. I think it's slowly coming back.

Rumors are that Patriots are interested in a WR. Don't necessarily think it came from the team as much as speculation based on history of early season WR acquisitions.
We have a lot of cap space for the year, so maybe we could bring in a WR on a 1 year deal?
Even though we are playing well, we still don't have an elite WR or offensive weapon.New England Patriot

Yikes. Overall, disappointing, but encouraging at the same time. We played KC tough for 3.5 quarters with Hoyer who really didn't play well and made terrible mistakes and Stidham who clearly isn't NFL ready.
Our defense dropped 2 INTs and the Maholmes fumble / INT that didn't get called right was unfortunate. Nonetheless we gave ourselves a chance, but couldn't capitalize.
Hopefully Newton can get 2 negative tests before week 5 because we don't stand a chance with Hoyer or Stidham.New England Patriot

The defense played terrific last night. Yes, there were 2 dropped picks and they got screwed on the in grasp sack, but they did their job. Holding the Chiefs. offense under 20 points is a real accomplishment
I loved what I saw out of the running game. Michel on IR is not the end of the world.
Hoyer was PATHETIC. He should be cut as soon as Cam is ready. I said to my wife after the 1st series, he needs to get his throws down. Next. play, pick. The. biggest sin was the sack. How do you not know the situation? He's been in the league 10+ years and holds the ball too long. Throw it in the 5th row. Then, takes another sack holding onto the ball too long and fumbles
Stidham was mediocre. The first pick was Edelman's fault. He drops a LOT of balls. The second was 10 yards under thrown.
I didn't have any hope anyway, but the defense kept them in the game.

Hoyer wasn't pathetic. His lack of awareness overshadowed all he did. Taking the sack and fumbling lost us 6 points and in a close game like this would have been huge. I still thought he looked better than Stidham.
Remember, none of these QBs were prepared to start this week. It wasn't until Saturday that they found out and didn't have any time to take 1st team snaps. You could see Stidham was super nervous and wasn't ready by how Romo was saying how often he was licking his lips.
I do agree with you though that the defensive game plan was stellar and held Mahomes better than any other team. Defense could have completely changed the game had they caught those 2 easy INTs and that fumble / INT getting called right would have been huge.
A lot of stuff went well, a lot of stuff that could have been better.New England Patriot

I get that Hoyer's lack of awareness that cost us 2 FG attempts was bad, but before that was he really horrible? Yeah, he had a bad throw, but he was moving the ball down the field against a pretty solid KC defense.
Both Hoyer and Stidham aren't NFL starter caliber QBs, but I think had Hoyer not cost us the chance at those 2 FGs, we might have pulled it out.
Would have been 9-6, us, if he hadn't taken the sack and fumbled. Huge difference. Either way, I hope Cam can come back this week so we don't have to worry about either of them against Denver.
Also, Stephon Gilmore tested positive and had close contact with Mahomes after the game. It'll be interesting to see if Mahomes catches it.New England Patriot

I still don't understand why players don't wear a mask... it is not like they have never done it... I seen a ton of players wearing mask during winter season so it is not like they "can't" play with mask...
zhit if I'm a 300lbs lineman I would be sleeping with a mask on as they are at the very top of the high risk group."Paper money is going away" - EM

No way man. I definitely understand why. It's definitely not ideal. Would you really want to wear a mask while cycling and doing hills? Chit would be annoying as **** and probably limit oxygen intake in some capacity. Now, off the field, they definitely should.
A better compromise would be the clear shield face mask or something like that."Milk is for babies. When you grow up you have to drink beer." - Arnold

Your avatar suggests you do physical activity, but your comment would suggest you don't. No athlete wanting to perform at 100% is going to wear a mask.
Stephon Gilmore said he followed all the NFL protocols and still got it. It happens. He'll miss a game and be with us for the rest of the season.New England Patriot

I'm not saying that it would be ideal probably annoying af but if you are in that very top high risk cat then it maybe worth it.

do i perform my best with a skinsuit? NO but it is faster then reg clothing - tight AF
do I perform my best with a close bike helmet? NO but it is faster than a reg helmet
I can go on and on about things that we athletes do that are not ideal but if it helps the final goal then I am all for it."Paper money is going away" - EM

The fk are you talking about? You think pro cyclists wear skinsuits because they enjoy them? No, it's because they make them more aero thus having to use less watts to make up for flappy clothes. Same with the aero helmets they wear. So yes, pro cyclists perform their best in skinsuits and aero helmets.
Wearing a face mask is not helping the "final goal" of a professional athlete hence why you see no one wearing them at that level. If everyone is following protocols then no one should be testing positive and if you're playing football with people who aren't positive, you can't spread it.
We should just move on from this silly discussion.
With week 5 game getting moved to Monday, that means it would be exactly 10 days since Cam tested positive which means if he can test negative twice before Monday's game, he can play. After the QB debacle last week, we need him back. It's a tough loss with Gilmore, but I'm hoping the Broncos stink it up and give us a much, much needed win.New England Patriot
