the patriots drafting hot garbage + no tom Brady + several players on D opting out is wat made them struggle this year

I would disagree on most of that. We had a number of draft picks contribute for us by seasons end. Dugger, Uche, Onwenu, Herron all played quality time and contributed. If they can continue to get better, they'll all be starters next season. Our TEs sucked though, so I'll give you that.

I hate the opt out excuse because it didn't affect us like it would seem. We lost Hightower and Chung on defense. Hightower I'd say was a noticeable loss, but Chung was replaced by Dugger and Phillips with Phillips having an incredible season for us. I wouldn't be surprised if we move Chung with how well Dugger and Phillips played and how much cheaper they are then what Chung will cost. Marcus Cannon was lost on offense, but Onwenu stepped in very well for him.

For almost all of the season our defense was top 10 in scoring and our offensive line was top 10 as well. So the idea that the opt outs hurt us is simply not true.

Nick Caserio is now the GM of the Texans. I think that's a pretty big blow to our organization. Nick played a huge role, so hopefully they can find someone to fill his role. That being said, I've been seeing that he's eyeing other Patriot coaches to take over the Head Coaching vacancy there. So not only will there be a lot of player turn over, we might be seeing a lot of coaching turnover.

Nick leaving def hurts no question about that - it looks to me that some people want to jump off the ship before their reputation get more tarnished - 2 more losing seasons and everybody will be saying TB carried BB (not 100% of course but there is an argument to be made...)

Lawrence Guy and David Andrews came out and said that they do want to return to the team next season. It would be good to get both of them back and with them wanting to come back, I'd have to imagine we could get them signed at team friendly deals.

u know - I get Bill didn't want to build an O with 2 or 3 TOP WR but man he had the chance to trade for howard and a bit of tact and I bet Gronk would wanted to play too...

but nope hard azz BB ego got the best of him and deny NE of a few more good years...

Think about howard, gronk, edelman, harry (mehh but would have been usefull) white, burkhead... plus our D? 11-5 or 12-4 again and back in the mix

Howard would have been a nice addition, but I think we would have had to offer them a 1st round pick. I can't remember. I believe that Brady would have stayed had Belichick brought back AB per Brady's request and then Gronk would have come back as well.

I would assume this is because of the COVID masks, but honestly I don't know. Trump awarded a couple other people with this award recently. It was meant to be given last year, but because of COVID was postponed.

I think it'll be competitive, who wins I don't know. Bucs are getting Devin White back and he's a big piece in their defense. The Bucs run defense will most likely bottle up Kamara and at that point it'll come down to whether or not Brees still has something left in his arm to beat the Bucs defense.

The previous meetings weren't great for the Bucs, but I think they're a better team now.

And now with the Medal of Freedom behind us, we can hate Belichick when he trades us out of the first round rather than hating him for accepting the award

Not the Patriot WR that people were hoping would make the list (Harry) but for as much chit as our WRs got, I always thought Meyers was doing a great job. Taking over as our #1 WR he still was productive. Hopefully he can make another big leap next season with a good QB.

Yeah, let's trade for a QB who we couldn't add talent around. That being said, with the way Belichick trades out of the first, maybe it's not a bad deal /s

Jalen Ramsey was traded for 2 1st round picks and a 4th.
Jamal Adams was traded for 2 1st round picks, a 3rd and additional player.

If that's the price, I don't want to pay it.

I think he's improved a lot as a passer from the pocket. He led the league in passing this year and in the game against the Patriots he was tossing dimes into the tightest windows.

Leading the league in passing is a bit misleading. When your team sucks and are constantly playing from behind, your passing stats are going to be inflated. Not saying he's a bad passing QB, just a bit misleading.

well would you give 3 first round picks for 27 yrs old Brady? during our good years we were always picking last or close to last so it is not like we were picking the best best talent off the board each year.

I don't think he is THAT good so 3 1st rnd pick is dumb - that is a deal the Jets would do lol

guys Bill is not going to change after 20 years doing the same... he will pick a qb in second or third round or buy a cheap one from free agent market - just setting the expectation right so you guys are not disappointed when we end up with Andy Dalton under the center next year lol
