Would be a hell of a story to make a playoff appearance.
538 percentage of making the playoffs.
You beat the Chargers, Rams, Dolphins, Bills & Jets... 96% chance to make the playoffs... You lose a game & your odds plummet to less than 50%.
I stand firm...
If Stidham started the whole year, they'd make the playoffs. If Cam didn't catch covid, they'd make the playoffs.

I don't know what they're doing with Stidham. Cam definitely brings a different dynamic to the offense that I think they like, but I would have liked to see more of Stidham. Why draft him and not give him a chance when we all know Cam isn't the future. I still think if they drop another game or two we'll see Stidham.

Reports are saying Belichick has always been a huge fan of Hunter Henry. Henry becomes a FA this off season. I'd be happy if we went after Henry, but I have to imagine it'll cost a pretty penny.
Meyers, Byrd and Harris keep improving. Sign Henry and find a competent QB and I like our offense.New England Patriot

It's way too late to think about tanking. The team is finding ways to win. We are going to need to address a lot of positions next season and if we can be a playoff team with the current roster I think we'll be a much more desirable place for veterans to want to play.
Terrible stats for a QB, but we've found that when we don't put the game in his arm, we have a much better chance to win.
It's amazing how Belichick dominates rookie QBs. Had Darnold seeing ghosts last season and now Herbert with a terrible game and the Chargers worst loss in franchise history.New England Patriot

Short week with the Rams on Thursday in LA. I think the team is staying in LA which will be helpful. I hope the chitty Goff shows up and we can pull another win out. Our strength is our offensive line and the run game, but with the Rams front 4 I don't know how it's going to turn out. Need Cam to not turn the ball over and really need to establish the run like we did against the Chargers. Not going to be every week that ST plays like they did this week.
The teams we needed to lose this week didn't (Dolphins, Raiders and Colts) to improve our playoff chances. 4 games left and I think we have to go 3-1 at worst to have a shot.New England Patriot

I really believe Pats got the best chance at knocking out the Chiefs. Belichick is the GOAT coach, defense is pretty good and he'll definitely come up with a gameplan to slow down the offense. They defended them very well early this season and should have gotten 2 picks. They played Hoyer due to COVID which phucked them but with Cam they can win.

Belichick is the GOAT, but Andy Reid is right behind him. I think Reid is one of the best as well.
As far as this team goes, we're so hot and cold that it's impossible to know who is going to show up. That being said, we've won 4 of the last 5 games and our defense, I think, is getting noticeably better. JC Jackson has been a stud, Gilmore is back and playing well, Uche is showing he belongs, Winovich is a terror etc
Right now is the time to start putting everything together and playing well. We can hang with any team because Belichick on defense and if Cam and the offense doesn't turn the ball over, we can win.
The Rams are going to be a big test for us. I hope Belichick out coaches McVay and we can figure out how to run the ball against the Rams front 4.New England Patriot

Really curious about Patriot's secondary next year.
Gilmore trade?
JC Jackson extended?
McCourtys/Chung retire?
I love taking a look at things like this to put everything in perspective.
2019 - D. McCourty, Chung, Harmon, Gilmore, J. McCourty, Jonathan Jones, JC Jackson
2018 - D. McCourty, Chung, Harmon, Gilmore, J. McCourty, Jonathan Jones, JC Jackson
2017 - D. McCourty, Chung, Harmon, Gilmore, Butler, Rowe
2016 - D. McCourty, Chung, Harmon, Butler, Ryan, Rowe
2015 - D. McCourty, Chung, Harmon, Butler, Ryan
2014 - D. McCourty, Chung, Harmon, Revis, Browner, Butler, Ryan

I think both McCourty Brothers retire after this season. I think we try and trade Gilmore for draft capital, but leaning towards not getting enough for him to make it worth it. JC Jackson playing too good to not pay. We'll have the salary cap for it. I don't think Chung will retire, but if he does Dugger is starting to play well and would fill in for Chung. Jones is locked up through 2022. And herp derp Duron Harmon doesn't play for New England.
With the way the defense is coming along, I think we'll be fine next season. We'll get the opts out back and the young players will be more experienced. It's the offensive side of the ball that will need the most improvement.New England Patriot
