It has been rough watching the last couple of weeks. The chiefs game was hot garbage even though the defense played lights out.
The broncos gave a lifeline later on with two drew lock INTs but still couldn't punch it in.
This week was just pure garbage.

I mean we all know the team would suck at some point sooner or later but the last 3 year feels like BB ego got the best of him... Yes we were competitive (even last year) but the team never looked right... Letting Tommy go WITHOUT a clear replacement was stupid - Tommy is playing lights out in Tampa and here we are watching Cam throwing 90 yds with 3 ints...
I will be cool with a crappy season IF we get a high pick and go after a good QB but we all know BB ego won't let him "lose some games" to get a high pick - We also have players to trade and get great return but again: Will BB pull the plug and start the rebuilding process?
Also, remember when every player said that playing for BB was hard but the winning made things better? Now what? who is gonna put up with his BS if they are not winning?
as Rex Ryan said:
I don’t think they realize how huge a loss this is gonna be. It’s easy to dismiss — ‘well, Tom Brady’s getting older, he’s old, this and that.’ Yeah, he was still the best player you had on offense. So to me, I’m excited to see the demise of the Patriots, so to speak"Paper money is going away" - EM

Their draft this year has been ATROCIOUS.
Kyle Dugger has been ok
Anfrenee Jennings hasn't made much of an impact
The 2 tight ends haven't dressed
The kicker is is on the practice squad
Owenu has been good, Herron has seen limited time and is now hurt
Josh Uche hasn't played and is now on IR.
N'Keal Harry is a bust. He CANNOT get open.
Bailey, Cowart, Winovich, Harris. have contributed, Williams hasn't made much of an impact.

Good point. It will be interesting to see how the Patriots respond to this adversity. I could see a lot of turnover this offseason if we continue to struggle.
While Belichick is getting a lot of the heat, why aren't we pointing out fingers at McDaniels? He's the offensive play caller and our offense is hot garbage right now. He's done nothing to help get the offense rolling. First few games we were running the offense well with run pass options, but seems we've gotten away from that and put the ball in the arm of Newton which we've seen isn't the answer. I know it's hard when we have no TEs, our WRs suck and all you can do is dump it off to our backs, but McDaniels needs to get better.
I think this is the biggest issue with this season. Belichick addressed a number of position concerns with the draft, but no one has contributed enough to get the team to a level he thought they would be at.New England Patriot

You know what would be awesome...? Ryan Fitzmagic to take us to the Super Bowl. Sadly, won't happen because Miami is in our division, but would be legit.
Also, what are the chances we sign Dak next season? Assuming we don't continue to suck and don't get a low enough pick to draft a QB.New England Patriot

The season isn't over. They are going to keep trying to win. It's a tough schedule, but the Bills don't look like they're guaranteed to run away with the division and with two games against them, a lot can change.
Mind you, the last two weeks we've regressed, but you have to remember we were able to play well in our first 4 games.
We need to get back to the run pass option with Cam. His strength is running the ball and throwing to his first read. McDaniels will figure out how to get Edelman back in the offense and we'll do better.
I mentioned in another thread, I think we could easily look at a 7-9 season if things don't shape up.New England Patriot

if we lose against the Bills I think the season is a wrap... we will lose imo: Ravens, Cardinals, Houston 50-50 and we have never played Miami good in their own stadium.
"Mind you, the last two weeks we've regressed, but you have to remember we were able to play well in our first 4 games."
I don't think we have regressed, more like teams know what we are trying to do offensively and adjusted. Now they know they can load up the box 8-9 guys and we don't have anybody to beat them deep."Paper money is going away" - EM

Belichick said he doesn't know anything about those trade rumors (shocker, right) and Gilmore's wife laughed at the idea it was their house. I wouldn't be surprised either way.
I mean, that wouldn't happen, but I'd take it.
It's hard to imagine us trading Gilmore. He's 30 and I don't see us getting a 1st rounder for him and anything less I don't see the value. Unless we can trade him for a stud offensive talent, I'd rather have Gilmore. He and JC Jackson are a legit combo.New England Patriot

Slater said that at times against SF that the team didn't put forth the normal effort. Normally, I wouldn't think twice about it since we were getting destroyed, but for Slater to come out and say that and how disappointed he was in their efforts is concerning. Belichick led teams don't act that way. I hope the team isn't already giving up on the season.
This week with Edelman out and likely Harry as well, we could be in for a rough day.New England Patriot

What a way to lose a game. Cam wasn't exactly trash until the last play. Ran the ball well. Harris was doing work. Then Cam fumbles on the way to the win. That hurt.
