Reports are Brady is visiting with a few different teams this off season.

I think it's a leverage move. I also think Belichick knows this & will check to see if Brady's bluffing.

Raider 100 mils warranty over 5 years (of course he will only play 2 or 3 max)

    50 x 2 with titans

    90 x 3 with Dallas

    90 x 3 with Tampa

90 x 3 with Dolphins (this make total sense for dolphins draft THE guy and let him learn under Brady for 2 years)

90 x 3 with the Bills (same as Dolphins)

lots of teams can use someone like Brady - he is not "young Brady" to carry the team O but he can manage the game like no other assuming the team already have a good D and a solid running game.

Amazing how many rookie WRs had great seasons this year. And how many were drafted AFTER NKeal Harry. If we had AJ Brown or DK Metcalf we'd be in the SB. GM BB needs to relinquish his WR scouting abilities. Just say "I want to draft a WR here" and let someone else decide which one.

Patriots don't need someone with crazy hands or physical tools. They need a good route runner who can create some separation

I choose Dak & Allen over Brady 8 times over 10.

Those 2 of 10 would be high leverage situations.

Is he really after money or playing time? If he wants to win with us he knows we can't afford to be stuck with him eating up a ton of cap at 43+

I want him obviously but the idea that anyone can play at a high level and get paid like it at 44, 45 is not sitting well with me

I think he has the most room to grow in the NFL. That's not going to happen after 2 years of starting, and then sitting behind a 43 year old.

He threw 20 tds, 9 picks last year, rushed for another 9 tds. He's pretty good. His last game might not have been great, but doesn't take away from a solid season. He'll only get better.

I don't think is money but talent - think about it what NE (other than a proven system he already knows)?

we have: no receivers, no TE, OL is suspect and our running game took a big step back?

people is kidding themselves if they think some of these teams that haven't win a thing since forever won't kicked out their QB for a shot a post season.

Peyton was a shell of himself and still put a team over the top multiple times.

Manning was the worst QB in the NFL that year though. Anyone making the Brady to Manning comparison should be kicked in the dick.

Brady didn't play like the guy everyone is used to but he didn't have the talent Manning had that year for Denver either and the results were still miles better.

    1000%.

Peyton only played in 10 games and they still went 12-4 and won the Super Bowl - during those 10 games, he threw for 9 touchdowns, 17 interceptions, and lost one fumble. He also averaged -1 rushing yard per game.

In the Super Bowl, he completed 57% of his passes and threw for 141 yards with zero touchdowns and one interception. Running back CJ Anderson rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown. Von Miller had 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and was named Super Bowl MVP.

They had an exceptional team with a good offensive line, great receivers, good running backs and an elite defense. They essentially won in spite of him.

Rumors have it that Kraft and the Patriots want an answer from Brady before free agency starts. After missing out on a number of TE replacements when Gronk was contemplating retirement, the Patriots don't want to miss out on QBs if Brady does decide to leave.

Let me start off by saying, I think Tom is going to resign in New England. I want the dude to retire a Patriot, and I think he's doing this for leverage.

If I were him, I'd be looking at Tampa Bay... They already have a pretty good OL. Being able to throw to Evans, Godwin, Howard and Brates. You're locked into 10 games a year where you play likely in good weather or a dome. Play with an established QB whisperer HC in Arians? That situation would be golden for him.

I also, think in the off chance Brady leaves/retires the Patriots should think about tanking for TLaw

I agree with you on Brady coming back, but nothing else.

Tampa Bay isn't a good fit and that team isn't built for a Super Bowl run.

Tanking for any player is stupid IMO. I mean, going from 12-4 to 2-14 type tanking. If Brady did leave, you find the best replacement you can and fight for wins. Tanking is the perfect way to kill any team momentum / chemistry you could gain during a season.

Joe Montana gave advice to Tom Brady about staying in New England. People use Montana as an example of a QB going to another team late in their career, but Brady's situation is entirely different than Montana's. I think Brady and the Patriots will strike a deal before free agency. I just don't see Brady truly interested in testing free agency.

Tampa Bay is a bad option beyond words.

There's essentially one place he could go that would make the most sense outside of New England, and that's the L.A. Chargers, who are moving on from Philip Rivers.

I hope he doesn't. As a fan, I badly want his career to end with the Patriots, and I still believe that's his best option - IF Bill commits to giving him the weapons he needs to compete for a Super Bowl.

I would think this would be the biggest deciding factor in Brady's mind. If he's going to commit to finishing his career there, they have to surround him with some talent. Not a bunch of WR3s. Edelman isn't a #1, he's reliable, tough as nails, and he makes clutch catches, but he is not a game breaker. Break the bank this season for some weapons for Brady. If the defense plays at even 80% of what they did last year, they'll be fine.

I also think the Chargers would be a good fit. Allen, Williams, Henry, Ekeler......great core there, especially with Allen and Ekeler being great possession WRs.

I also would like to see Brady go out as a Patriot though, it would be very strange seeing him in another uniform...even more-so than Manning.

You guys really think Brady wants to compete against Mahomes and the Chiefs twice per season for the division crown? And then assuming Brady and the Chargers make the playoffs (probably as a WC) – likely face either the Chiefs, Ravens or Pats and Belichick in round one? I don't see it.

I think if given the choice between that, and returning to the Patriots with the offense as it is now, he'd take the Chargers. That offense is just not good enough to win a SB unless they make some major improvements.

I think the Titans make much more sense. A division that's always up for grabs. Great Oline, a solid defense with familiar faces. Vrabel. Good supporting cast including a decent slot guy and tight ends who can run and catch. And they need a QB if they don't want to toss a huge multi-year deal at Tannehill.

However, I do think a return is the most likely. There really is no "perfect" situation because of the reasons we've all listed. Any other year and it might be a different case.

Patriots are a WR / TE and offensive lineman away from being SB contenders next year. Expect progress from Harry, Meyers and Sanu with an off season to learn and develop. Defense is largely intact, so they'll be solid next year.

I don't like playing the "what if / should have" game, but the Patriots should have beaten the Chiefs this season had their two TDs not gotten overturned by bad officiating. Patriots had a bunch of chances to beat the Titans in the wild card round. Patriots were also a Miami win away from the #2 seed which I believe would have completely changed the outlook of this year's playoffs.

Not saying the Patriots should have made the Super Bowl or deserved the #2 seed, but they weren't far away from being a SB contender. Because of the high standards set for the Patriots each year, a 12-4 #3 seed season was a disappointment.

What about Colts? They were ready to be a playoff team with Luck and then he retired leaving a hole at QB

Solid O-line but do need to upgrade weapons and D

Bears are also trying to win now but their weapons are mediocre

Chargers have the weapons but Brady would die behind that line

Titans would be a great fit, but I don't think they'll let Tannehill walk personally. He seems to fit well there, and would be risky to let him go for 1-2 years of Brady. I agree tho, its' a great fit.

Not saying the Patriots should have made the Super Bowl or deserved the #2 seed, but they weren't far away from being a SB contender. Because of the high standards set for the Patriots each year, a 12-4 #3 seed season was a disappointment.
Those are big missing pieces, especially at WR and TE. The Patriots success last year was based off the insane defensive play. That kind of production is extremely hard to sustain two years in a row. If that defense didn't create so many turnovers and D/ST Touchdowns their record could have been very different.

While the defense will be solid again, you can't bank on that kind of output again. The offense needs to make major steps to compete.
