Reading a lot of people saying Brady is done and no longer "elite" based on his current season stats. I won't argue that his stats aren't mediocre, but I think he still has the ability to carry the offense when we start getting healthy and can get WR production. I hate that sometimes you use stats to prove the worth of a player and then other times you say stats don't matter, but those who watch these games know Brady is still playing well, but isn't putting up league leading numbers because of all the offensive issues / injuries etc.
Once we get Sanu and Dorsett back. Once Wynn gets back up to speed, I think we're going to see the offense turn around.

Easy. The offense hasn't had a real touchdown drive in a few weeks. In fact, pretty sure in the past 2 games they've been set up on the 25 or better 4 times, and only scored TDs twice.
I don't care if the offense scores 10-17 a game for the rest of the season as long as they're winning. They need to put up 30+ against the Ravens.
Also, I think if you guys are watching the MNF, you know... There's one person in the NFL that can stop Lamar and that's Billy Goat.

I don't blame anyone who says Brady isn't elite anymore. Are they rushing to judgment a little bit? Yes... Has he given them any reason to immediately think otherwise? No.
That being said, he's put up decent stats, and he just has a chance to prove them wrong for the millionth time. Bottom line is... this is his team moving forward. It is very unlikely that it changes. Stay healthy, get better each week and they'll have a chance to win #7.
As Brady says "It starts warming up this time of year in New England."

Flu bug made its way through a number of players this week. I think I saw at least 14 players + staff got sick. Most returned today, but still a little concerning.
Nick Folk, K, had an appendectomy and was released a day later to make room for Kai Forbath.
Hoping to see our offense find a little more rhythm this week. Sanu was limited again Thursday which makes that two limited practices in a row. He was close to playing against Dallas, so I'm guessing he'll play. Dorsett was cleared from the concussion protocol. Wynn missed another practice with the flu. Hopefully Wynn can get healthy and Sanu plays Sunday.
This is the time of year that things start to heat up for the Patriots.New England Patriot

Tom Brady throw away percentage is highest its ever been this season:
2019: 33/439 = 7.5%
2018: 30/570 = 5.3%
2017: 22/581 = 3.8%
2016: 30/432 = 6.9%
2015: 29/624 = 4.6%
2014: 21/582 = 3.6%
2013: 13/628 = 2.1%
2012: 19/637 = 3%
2011: 11/611 = 1.8%
2010: 10/492 = 2%
2009: 12/565 = 2.1%
2007: 19/578 = 3.3%
2006: 16/516 = 3.1%
He says it’s not about self-preservation. “I don’t think I’m throwing it away for that,” Brady said Friday. “I’m throwing it away because I don’t want to take a sack. I think part of it is just you feel like you have an opportunity on the play, and if you don’t have that, then I think negative plays actually have a big impact on the game. Turnovers and negative plays I think really keep you from winning games. “So, if you’re a dropback passer — because I’m not really a scrambler. I mean, I have scrambled in the past. It’s not like I’ve never scrambled. I’m not really much a scrambler. But if I’m going to hold it back there, then usually good things aren’t going to happen. So, try to throw the ball away to a safe place and live for the next down.”
I've noticed this as well, but never bothered me because I'd rather take an incomplete pass than take a momentum changing INT. Something that box score watchers won't see as they say Brady is deteriorating.New England Patriot

Bengals have waived OT Andre Smith. He was a beast at Alabama and quite good in the NFL for several seasons. He's old, but I wonder if the Patriots would give him a look for some depth. Surely we'd at least put him on the practice squad. Maybe he'd be willing to work for cheap for a shot at a ring.

Ravens loss today would have been really nice. Add a little wiggle room on that #1 seed, but we still have our work cut out for us.
Sanu and Dorsett expected to play today which means our offense will be "full strength." I put quotes around that because it sounds like the flu / cold bug might have some guys playing, but less than 100%. My concern is going to be conditioning if this isn't a mind game.New England Patriot

That was a rough 1st half. Offensive looked good their first drive and ran the ball very well. Looked like they were going to make an effort to keep running the ball, but got away from it the very next drive. Outside of the short field after the Brady INT, our defense didn't look terrible.
We need to find a way to get Edelman and White involved. Texans started to double cover Edelman and no one else stepped up.New England Patriot

I am very impressed with how poorly the Patriots played tonight. Each week we might not have been where we want to be, but we at least were progressing. Tonight we took a giant step back.
The one area that I'm most surprised by was coaching. I thought the Texans out coached us offensively and defensively. I don't understand what McDaniels was trying to do tonight. We came out and ran the ball well and immediately abandoned. Edelman got double covered, but we never moved Edelman out of the slot to open up the field for someone else. Sanu, Dorsett and Harry did absolutely nothing. Meyers is our 2nd best WR right now and that's scary.
Our defense didn't play well, but I think tonight it was our offense that set them up to fail. Good starting position for the Texans, INT setting up a very short field etc. They had their fair share of issues though.
Overall, very bad. We host the Chiefs next week and I don't feel good about that. I'm hoping we can figure out chit out and still get #2 seed.New England Patriot

WRs can't get an inch of separation. Total garbage.
It's fine, we still got a good shot to win the Bourbon Bowl. I certainly have the last 2 days with the Patriots and Alabama both going down. Roll Makers Mark!---GIVE-------------------------------

Texans came out strong and played a good game. Patriots didn't have an answer until it was too late.
Also, I'm already seeing everyone overreact and say Brady needs to call it a career. I won't defend him and say he played well tonight, but to say he's done is almost ignorant IMO. He's made bad throws and forced a lot of passes, but he's working with nothing on offense. Edelman and White are the only pieces that are consistent and we saw what happened when they took away Edelman in the middle of the game. No one else stepped up. No QB can make something happen out of nothing. That INT Brady had was on a route that it was the WR's job to beat the CB and he didn't. I wish Brady would have been able to hold the ball, but it wasn't designed that way.
I've been saying it for weeks that our offense will get better, but after this game I'm concerned we don't have the pieces in place to do what we want. Still to this point, we don't have an offensive identity like we've had in the past. I really hate to say it, but we are missing another play maker on offense. I don't know if Sanu was less than 100%, but for him to not do anything was very disappointing.
Can we bring Brown back already?New England Patriot

Harry can't get open and CBs in the NFL are too good to be"worked" on every 50/50 ball... I said before: Harry is a bust
Sanu got a busted ankle and can't get open, Edelman and white double cover and Meyers is an undrafted rookie...
then we have McDaniel... our runs were working but he went away from the run pretty early in the dame and 4 and 1 when we need it a run he f called a pass.
fukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
I don't blame the D cause they started to play reckless cause we needed a turn over.

AB isn't coming back after his latest IG story. He re-posted this @gillettenation story post to his story:
"I'm starting to question if Robert Kraft wants to win. This is a business. You have rumors of your HOF QB wanting to leave, as well as already losing your All-Pro TE. I would assume that you would want to improve your offensive threats, which are obviously lacking. Tom and Josh have nothing to work with."
I get what AB is trying to do, but he doesn't get it. Saying you think Kraft doesn't want to win and how your offense has no offensive threats isn't going to get you back in good grace with Kraft.New England Patriot
