If he came back, I don't think it'd take him 3-5 weeks to get into football shape. He's stayed in good shape (from what I've seen) since "retiring" so I'd say 2 weeks and he'd be back into the swing of things. He'd make an impact in the run game quicker than the pass game. However, all that being said is he lost weight, so maybe his skill set would change a little until he got back up to his "fighting weight."

Gronk's big announcement was in fact a business announcement. It'll be nice when Gronk stops making the headlines once people realize he's not coming back. He's smart with what he's doing right now though. Banking off people still paying attention to him because they think / want him to come back.

EDIT: el oh el. Posted this comment. Then saw that Gronk won't rule out a comeback because he's still young, fit and enjoy the game. He know he has to stay in the comeback spotlight to make more money with his business ventures.

Antonio Brown apologized to Kraft and the Patriots on IG. A handful of Patriot players liked the post. I said it before, but AB isn't going to come back until he realizes that football doesn't need him, but he needs football. This seems like a step in that direction / realization.

I wouldn't mind if the Patriots said F it and brought him back. Get Wynn back and AB. That would be pretty legit. Won't happen, but we can dream.

Gronk said this “With the offense, they’re finding ways to make it work like they’ve always done, putting guys in the right situation to make plays. “But man, they’re missing some guy who is 6-6, 260 (pounds). They’re missing that guy, for sure.”

Why say stupid chit like that? People know you were great and played a big role on the team, but you don't need to some dumb chit like that.

The internet thinks AB will make a return to the Patriots after his apology.

Gunner looks like he'll be going to IR to make room for Wynn's return.

inb4 Wynn gets injured on the very first play and we are back to new house LOL

I will shot myself if that happens hahahaha

Listening to sport talk some ex player about how D are playing close the line cause NE "can't" stretch the field - I have always complain about the lack of deep passes

most teams get one or two bs PI calls per game on that deep ball but u we don't cause we never seem to try it.

Some times imho is not even about completing the pass but letting know the other team that if they get too close the the line they are going to be burned with a deep pass.

Also, wtf with white? why aren't we using him more?

Always a possibility. It's not like Wynn has a track record for being healthy & dependable.

As for White, Brady missed him 3 times on dump off passes.

Worst game I'd ever seen from Brady. It seems like his brain is going. Every 3rd catch a receiver would make they'd get lit up right after. Which would seem okay if it wasn't 5 or less yards down the field.

Brady is gonna be put on a leash if he has 2 more games like that.

Brady isn't going to be put on a leash. He's struggling right now because he doesn't have time to throw the ball. The constant lack of protection is getting to him and he's missing throws and forcing throws to try and make something happen.

If Wynn comes back and the line improves and we can get the run game going, Brady will be just fine.

    this

as it is he has time for first and MAYBE a second read - the left side of the (LT) can't cover his shadow and taking that extra second would be just dumb. Also, I get he is annoyed with some of the drops - some of the passes are right on their chest like wtf what else does he needs to do?

The only thing I'm not okay with is the fact that our season seemingly rides on our LT who has played 1.5 regular season games in a year and a half.

I didn't think there'd be so much panic when the team was 9-1.

we got bad luck this year with LT - The C is not that great either

the TE production has been awful and the FB injury didn't help either.

1 player is replaceable but our line has been tweaked a lot this year and yeah it sucks we depend on Wynn but for once I won't blame the Coach/GM

I think Karras has played well as a backup center. TE production has been bad because our OL sucks, so they pickup blocking duties. Given that, Ben Watson has had a few clutch catches so far this season that has impressed me for a 38 year old TE. FB injury was killer, but I'd like to see the RB/FB package splits from this year. Didn't make a huge difference.

That's why I was so big on bringing back Devlin rather than Harry. They've used defensive players as a FB, but Devlin was a big part of the offense and his loss is felt.

I do agree with Watson. He's came up big with a few catches this season. I don't agree though that lack of TE production is why we're struggling. We won a SB without Gronk. The offensive line has to improve so we can figure out who we are as an offense. Right now, we don't have an offensive identity. We've been trying different things, but can't move the ball consistently enough to keep at it.

I said it before, but relying on Wynn as savior to our team isn't a good look for us. I hope he proves me wrong.

All the panic and frustration as a 9-1 team is good. Means players aren't happy with where they currently are and are hungry to improve. Last year showed we can win in the playoffs with good defense.

Sanu not spotted today at practice. Probably still taking care of his ankle. We need him to play Sunday.

Also, unknown WR wearing #10 was at practice today. Apparently no one knows who it was. Probably our one practice squad WR moving up since we have 3 spots open.

I was listening to Stephen A Smith, which I don't enjoy, and he was saying if the NFL isn't going to suspend or put AB on the exempt list, then Brady should have the ability to say that the Patriots should bring him back.

Brady showed AB a lot of respect and was upset when they released him. AB showed Brady nothing but respect when he was on the team. He offered him his house. They stayed late in practices. Brady said he had perfect throwing sessions with AB. I hate that I'm getting myself excited about the thought of AB coming back, but it makes sense. AB would be that last piece to be the team to beat.

At this point, I don't know what will happen. I'm leaning it won't happen, but we paid him his $9m, let him come back and earn it.

EDIT: Conspiracy theory about AB's apology tweet
“It wasn’t genuine yet it was put out there and liked by multiple players, none bigger than the name of one Tom Brady,” Arrington, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, explained. “Let’s add on to this: Baltimore thrashed (the Patriots), showed them that they did not have enough talent. There’s a possibility he could be able to play, there’s a possibility he could be ruled out, but yet we saw a dejected Tom Brady after a victory because he didn’t have what he wanted, right? I’m sitting here conspiracy theory. Here’s the sizzle in your spirit type deal: Tom Brady told him to send that tweet out. Tom Brady is trying to direct getting AB back in the mitts of that New England Patriots organization. “There’s something here,” Arrington added. “Tom Brady is lobbying to get AB back on his team.”

Very solid win tonight. Defense played great, offense was lack luster.

Too many injuries to really be super critical about the offense. I will say though that play calling was...different. With Sanu and Dorsett out I thought we'd look to our RBs in the passing game more, but we didn't. White was non existent. Burkhead wasn't super productive. Pass heavy to our WR or running the ball. People say Michel is a bust, but I still think he's a good runner. Tonight showed that he can make good reads and find the openings when they're there. Wynn has a little rust to work off, but I'm optimistic about the offensive line. We came out determined to run and I don't think we put up decent rushing stats.

Defense wise I was very happy with. Gilmore with an INT was great. Gilmore shut down Cooper which shows how great he really is. Dallas has a great offense, #1 in the league and we kept them to 9 points and a little over 300 yards of offense. We were able to keep Dak contained. He made a number of poor throws that I think he makes in any other game.

Special teams really played a big role. When you have a defensive game like this, the little things that special teams get you is big. Blocked punt and recovery obviously huge, but I don't know why Dallas didn't know what to do when we didn't send a return man on the punt. Because of the delay of game penalty and a re-kick, it turned out to be a 20 yard difference in field position.

Defense and special teams seemed to be the coaching staff preparing and having better in game awareness than Dallas. I was hoping the difference would be Belichick vs Garrett and I think for the most part that's what it came down to.

While we only scored 13 points, I am pretty happy. Lots of areas that we need to improve on, but this team has show much fight in them that I don't think I'd ever consider them out of a game. Sounds like we'll get Sanu and Dorsett back next week which will be a huge lift to the offense and the first time in a long time our entire offense is healthy and playing.

Oh, N'Keal Harry. Made a great TD grab, but still looks like he's a ways away from being where we want him. He missed an entire season his rookie year, so I wasn't expecting him to put up crazy numbers, but you could tell he was making rookie mistakes out there. I'd love to see him be Brady's "big target" where he can just throw it up and Harry will make the catches.

We have the Texans next week which I think could be a tough match up. Gilmore vs Hopkins will be fun to watch.

Pats picked at NR1 a physical WR that can't create separation... I feel bad for the kid as it is not his fault but I don't see him succeeding with the path (or in the nfl for that matter).

At this rate Edelman is not going to finish the season in one piece... Also, Brady forcing the ball to him on every play ain't helping - Hopefully with Sanu and Dorsett back he (and the O in general) will get some relief.

Our D and ST are da boom so not much to say there.

Meyers can play - couple of years in the system and refining his route running skills and he could be something ala Edelman/walker/troybrown

That was a grueling game as a Dallas fan, but many props to your defense. Many non-patriot fans, myself included, questioned how well they would fare against a powerful offense. Last night they answered with authority. The game definitely came down to Bill vs. Garrett, and that is obviously a 1 sided battle. I would take a rocking chair over Garrett as a coach.

I am still flabbergasted at the decisions to kick 3 when down by 7 points..... miss or make, you still need to get a touchdown. Dallas hadn't sniffed the endzone the entire game....they should have had no reason to think they can kick 3, and then drive down to score a TD again. Won't even get started on the Dallas special teams.......

The most infuriating thing while watching that game however was that they took absolutely NOTHING from the Raven's gameplan when they beat NE. Jackson caused headaches for that defense.......how many designed runs did Dak have??? Oh thats right..... 0.....

Patriots are built to succeed this post season. Assuming they get homefield advantage, I call them favorites in any game due to that defense. If they can somehow get that offense moving even remotely well, it will be very hard to stop them.

Yeah that's idiotic IMO. I understand 4th and 7(i think) isn't a great down but as you said they struggled to move the ball on that D all game long, why you're putting your ducks in not only having your D make a stand but also suddenly breaking through with little time left to march down the field and do something you haven't done all day which is score a TD.

Obviously it's hindsight but at the time I thought for sure they had to go for it.

Not sure what it will take for Jerry to fire Garrett but the move has to be made.

This season has to be the final straw. For Garrett's entire tenure they have lost big games, and nearly all of the time due to coaching. Dallas has been mediocre, despite tons of talent for nearly a decade.....there has been roster/coaching turnover....the only consistent factors are Garrett and Jerry.

Thankfully last night Jerry even said how frustrated he is and pointed to coaching. I pray this is the end. I don't even care if Dallas loses out ROS if it gets Garrett fired.

Yeah I mean those calls were BS IMO, but Dallas did not lose the game on those two calls. They played like chit and deserved to lose.

You can trace the Cowboys problem to the offensive play calling. It's schizophrenic
Vs. the Vikings, they had issues running Zeke in the red zone.

First drive I've the game, 3rd and a long 1. You have one of the top 3 backs in football in your backfield. And you throw? Lousy conditions, into the wind and you're not even going to try and establish toughness at the line of scrimmage?

That being said, the penalty was atrocious, but was there any indication that the Cowboys were going to be able to get the ball over the goal line in that game?

It was eerily similar to the Rams Super Bowl, Bills and Eagles game, there was no way no how the Patriots were going to give up a 2nd touchdown.

    I love rock fights.

Not to mention at the 10yd line......... Passing game hasn't been working, Zeke/Pollard running well......throw on 2nd and 3rd down...... It's awful being a Cowboys fan.
