    Bulked from 185 to 230 HELP!!!

    Alright gents, here’s the deal. I’ve been getting goofy with my body for a minute now. Pic on the left was from 5 months ago. I weighed 185, pic on the right is today at 230. It’s safe to say I got fat. My strength is pretty good for a 6ft tall 23 year old. Dead lift is at 545 and hitting 315 for 5 sets of 8-10. Squat is at 365 and can hit 315 for a set of 6 and rep out 275. Bench is weak as tits at only 205. Anyways I am eating roughy 3800-4000 calories a day when bulking and around 2300-2500 when cutting. A part of me wants to maintain this weight for another month or two since winter is coming, plus I’m a bear. Another part of me wants to cut back down and see my abs again. Anyone got any advice?

    Do what you want to to do. If you want to maintain weight, just maintain weight. It will make getting stronger harder, but you should be able to "maintain", like you said.

    That's not bulking more stuffing your face, now you should cut you will keep progressing even if you are cutting up to a point and then reeavaluate

    What do you like better being a bear or a starving guy with abs?

    45 pounds in five months isn't "Bulking", it's making a pig out of yourself.

    You've likely added 10 pounds of muscle and 35 pounds of fat.

    what if his goals were to get strong? its 9 pounds a month, 2 1/4 pounds a week! thats not absurd at all!!! when people wanna cut, they aim to 1-2 pound a week! whats the difference??? not everyone wants to look like a little stick figure with abs!! some people actually want to be strong and be able to defend themselves!

    first off, you wouldnt have gotten that strong if you didnt gain as much weight as you did! i applaud you!! too many people are worried about what they look like in the mirror and would rather take years to get to the strength you got in less than 5 months!!! good job OP

    Yea sure everyone who's fat is gonna say hes strong then. Also not only fat doesnt look good it's not healthy at all so stop patting yourself and go get lean

    It's very absurd.

    Generally speaking, once someone is past the initial ten pounds or so of "noob gains", a person can put on 2-3 pounds of muscle in a month at most.

    Anything else is going to be fat which is both unnecessary and frankly unhealthy at the rate the OP put it on.

    Then those people should probably go find a site called "Powerlifters.com" and go ask for advice/opinions there rather than here (bodybuilding.com).

    They are still fat which beyond aesthetics and strenght is also unhealthy you know diabetes, liver cancer etc etc...OP didnt it bulk he just stuffed his face off like theres no tomorrow
