Hey guys. What's up? First time posting. Hope I can get some serious advice.
So, I am lifting for quite some time now. My goal is not to compete or anything, just planning to reach the "body of my dreams", an aesthetic physique. I know I will have to work on my diet and cutting but, by now, I'm still trying to pack up some more muscle, especially in the upper body. I kind of want to get a wider back and shoulders because my physique is quite "square-like" right now. Would you recommend me some extra focus on specific parts/exercises?
Also, my legs have a quite nice diameter already and I don't really want to gain more mass (edit: for now!!) (contrarily to some guys, I've never skipped leg day í ½í¸‚). The problem is I don't want to lose any gains on the upper body by neglecting the legs (I'm aware of the importance of the stimulus on the legs to promote muscle mass build up). So, my final question is: how should I train my legs?
a) only for maintenance
b) stop training them completely
c) keep working hard on them
Hoping to get some good answers or at least educated guesses from some of you pros out there peace!

No you don't want to cut out leg day. Cut out leg day and eventually your legs will start regressing because you aren't training them and now you have to focus on building them back up. Why wouldn't you want to strive to continue making progress with your legs? I'm sure there's room for improvement, there always is no matter where you are at.

- Your mindset influences your outcome. It's time to take out phrases like "I can't" or "I don't have time" and replace them with phrases like "I will make the time" and "I will keep working at it until I find a way that works." Success starts with the right mindset and believing in yourself and your dreams.

I guess you guys are missing the point here. I'm already comfortable with the size of my legs, especially thighs. I DO NOT have spaguetti legs, as that would make my body look ridiculous. I'm one of the guys laughing on spaguetti legs, seriously.
I just do not want to lose any upper body improvements but at the same time, if I grow any more thigh diameter I will continue to exacerbate the "square-like" body type I have.

OP, you already have it in your head of what you are going to do.....If you are going to cut legs out, then just do it, but never, and I mean NEVER, tell us about it...
You should have just said " I am trying to build up my Back and Shoulders. Is there anything I can add to my program to add more size?" And then Faukin end it....or you will not hear the end of it on wanting to drop legs.
I can squat 325, but my legs must not be as big as yours, so I will continue to work my legs.My Log - https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170367151&page=50

1) My legs are too big
2) I squat 260
Pick one.
If you're adamant about not growing your legs then you should at least do some work and just cut back on volume or slow down the progression on them. Doing no leg work will just get you laughed off these forums and not taken seriously, which I'm sure you're starting to realize.Bench: 365

Deadlift: 535

1) I wasn't (and I am not) planning to cut legs out of my plan. Just to do maintenance weights.
2) I just wanted to get some opinions from people who have been in my situation.
3) I am well aware of the importance of squatting and deadlifting for your overall physique, so I would never cut them off my plan.
4) Even if I would stop training legs at some point, it would be for a short period of time, while my upper body would catch up.
To put it in perspective, my legs are almost as wide as my shoulders right now, just off by 2/3 inches.Last edited by PSDoc5; 10-31-2018 at 07:09 AM.
