I wouldn't rule out new lows just yet. This is one day, not a bullish trend. In my opinion 3460 is a key price level on GDAX. If we see a bounce from 3460, that 3440-3450 zone becomes a nice support level. Otherwise, I am still bearish.

For reference, that grey box has been a key region so far.

Ironically I was out snowboarding Thursday-Saturday. Anyhow, I agree that the complicated nature of Bitcoin makes it pretty hard to adopt. It's basic value proposition assumes the user has an understanding of monetary supply, global economy, and a high level of computer science proficiency. I want to re-iterate my argument here as it seems like you are hearing "do you think something CAN flip bitcoin as store of value" which we both agree is certainly possible. "The market could still survive" being your answer to the question, but I'm asking why you think that?

The Bitcoin Store Of Value proposition is centered on its deflationary nature, and by extension, the 21mn coin cap. The entire incentive structure of the protocol is designed in large part to ensure that this 21 Million coin cap is never changed, or else all of the various parties will lose. The value in Bitcoin is as much the social contract as it is the energy spent mining/securing the blockchain. How could you ever explain to an institutional investor that "Bithereum 2.0 Coin" is the REAL store of value, nothing is likely to flip THIS digital gold? I think there will always be a market for blockchains, but I am pretty squarely interested Trillion dollar valuations. I don't see how you could ever store Trillions of dollars in a mechanism that has been proven to be a poor store of value over time.

Hoping this is the 200 ma weekly bounce i was hoping would happen, but prob wont last as nearly every1 believes more lows inc. In saying that, nearly everyone i see on youtube is expecting further lows under 3k... could the contrarian traders rek the mainstream thinking again and push higher?

From what I'm seeing to summarize todays action. You could have literally thrown a dart ANYWHERE and gained 10%. I like trading much more when multiple coins are moving very independently. Such is life. Ill be waiting for some retrace going into tomorrow before I think about making any plays.

Wow, blockstream has leased some bandwidth on satellites giving devs access to satellite APIs on lightning network. Effectively giving bitcoin bloclchain access around 90% of the world via a usb and software (no ISP routing) + privacy. Pretty mimdblowing what this could be in the future.

Yeah this is the first time I felt FOMO in a very long time. But for now I’m just going to leave my low buy orders in place and see what happens.

Just be patient, even if it moons to 5.5k for a re-test odds are very good that it'll come back and test this area again if not put in a new low. Let it show it's hand

I'd wait to retest the sidewards resistance for support before buying, even though I see it only being short term for now. I do see a path to 4300, but I think we're going to hit this 2800-3k mark before going up to correct significantly.


One of the guys I usually follow though, claims everything bottomed. And, truthfully, I think he could be wrong, but you never really know. I do know though, continually waiting for more downside comes with sizeable risk......

This. Thinks we do have more short term upside though. Strong volume node in that 2500-2800. Even stronger than 6k Krown said. So if it does get down there and fails it's going to be a bad day for hodlers. But a fantastic day for accumulaters.

It's not inside info. He just had to get that order filled. It seemed it was lucky enough to trigger a ****load of other stops. Right place, right time to get a block filled.

I find it a lot safer to ride the beginning part than hope the "wave continues after confirmation". "Trend confirmation" and then just after it is typically where I'm selling my position. It protects me from rejections in bear markets and general ****ery.
