I'm in XTZ too but it's pure speculation on my part. We had about 6 dudes who were all in on chitcoin du jour back in December 2017 who don't even post here anymore. All I'm saying is if you're all in too then be prepared to also lose the shirt off your back like the other guys did. There was an attitude here that crypto, alts in particular were a cute way to make big money but ended up biting guys in the ass in the long run. Stay safe.

    Just ask this guy:

Fact is, no body gives a **** about FA.

    This is penny stock trading.

Once I realized that, I started making money. Sit in a massacred ****coin, wait 200-300% pump, sell. Buy onto the next one.

Nor bitcoin, nor any other altcoin is going to be used commercially, so all that maximalist vs altcoiners crap should end bros, because it's a waste of time.

We don´t know yet if a crypto will be used comermercially or not, too early to tell. We are still in the infant stages. A crypto that is volatile will obviously not be used to buy stuff on a regualr basis, but stablecoins have a good future, and that stablecoin needs to be pegged to something other than the us dollar ideally. There will be a lot of technology progression in crypto the coming decade. It´s a no brainer to me that we will have a global international currency that is decentralized. The world needs to move away from the us dollar being the dominant currency. It´s tied to a sinlge country, which can cause problems in the future, besides many countries don´t like that the us dollar is the dominant one. I see a bright future for crypto, but it will take a lot of time to build the infrastructure out. And there needs to be more focus on building a good user experience. Fear of losing coins hinders adoption, and smart contracts can help with that, which is one of the reasons I´m bearish on btc. I like to troll a little bit, but I think proof of stake definitely is the future. Xtz is objectively superior to all the other alts that came before it, so it has a much better chance at success.

It´s not rocket science guys. 99,999% of crypto coins are chit, so just invest in the handful that are good, and you will likely have sucess. There is obviously tremendous value in a decentralized public blockchain, and you can´t really have a decentralized public blockckain be successful without a cryptocurrenct attached to it, or else there won´t be any intencive to secure the network.

hmm.. whole market has been pretty bad. when (or if btc starts moving) those alts will see bigger gains. but i see your point

i traded in and out of my coins back when. believe i even told silence to sell her stuff. the first time i got burned from bitcoin gold hardfork i knew what was up and didn't want to get stuck like that again.

everything would have been perfect and i actually HAD pulled all of my money out on that huge run in january 2018. but when it bounced back initially i put a bit back in.

my biggest mistake. but had still pulled other money out

Yeah, they are a scam confirmed. They only had one blockchain coder as of December 2017 and outsourced all their IoT to some mom and pop shop in Shenzen. None of the partnerships ever materialized and even the CEO and COO left the project.

mcity on here was shilling it back in the day, could have done 40x at its peak, but ended up being a sh*t coin

What a trash market. Pure unpredictable trash. Even best TA guys will hint that it's trash lol. Money was to be made in 2017, this is some other BS. Hold if you believe in the tech of bitcoin (and maybe ETH), other than that it's pure gambling.

Definitely has become harder to trade - but i guess this is because of so many of the same retail traders are equipped with better knowledge of the markets, so the big guys have found ways to make it harder for us.

Crypto has like 70-80% retail traders who depend on mostly knowledge content from the same sources (crypto cred - 150k followers on twitter)..so that knowledge has become well known - and also easier to exploit for the bigger guys.

forex and stock markets(?) have a smaller retail trader percentage, hence are imo safer for retail traders.

Check out trader dale, He is mostly trading forex, but some of his methods also work in crypto.

oh yeah for sure, most of my success has come from picking up pivots and riding a reversal w/ options. There is a balance between the options and the price action but you def have to be able to catch the right direction on price which is where TA comes in.

"options as a strategic investment" by lawrence McMillan is a 1,000 page tome on options that covers everything, then a bit more advanced take on them is "option volatility and pricing" by Sheldon Natenberg. A smaller more digestible one is "understanding options" by Michael Sincere

i guess im still the only travala guy on here. up 35% in the past week. 72% in the past 30 days.

i started investing when they were booking 100 or so room nights. now they have booked over 2000 room nights this month with a few days left. it's typically cheaper to book and the token is the life blood of the platform. as the laws of supply and demand continue to take shape, market sentiment will have a smaller effect on the value of the token. regular non-crypto folks book a room night, typically for cheaper and get reward AVA token inserted into their travala wallet. welcome to the crypto community sir haha

looking at the AVA/ETH pairing on kucoin, there is damn near nothing for sale. lawd jesus

direct aim at booking.com good luck guise!

We all know that redditors are weak soyboys but a friend of mine has made a new subreddit for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin etc. with the goal to build a MISC like alpha community.

    this is the proposal:
    problem:
subreddits right now in the niche are split into may own subreddits with rules like no mentioning of prophanity etc.
    solution:
all-inclusive subreddit with no rules regarding profanity and time based content posting.

For the incentive to join there is a approx. $10 giveaway in XMR (privacy coin) or equivalent of BTC until 30th of march.

Anyone interested here to build a new misc based subreddit for crypto?

forex and stock markets(?) have a smaller retail trader percentage, hence are imo safer for retail traders.

Check out trader dale, He is mostly trading forex, but some of his methods also work in crypto.
I mostly disagree with all of this.

Yes crypto has become harder to trade. Intra-day volatility is down from a few years ago, and of course everything will seem "dead" compared to the bubble. And it's also because the weaker hands are washed out, it's a lot of veterans these days. There are more professional market making firms and HFT traders. Spreads are tighter. Moves are faster.

But this is still nothing compared to forex\indicies. You, a retail trader, are fighting against TEAMS of quants who are coding bots to take your money. TEAMS of professional traders who have been at it for decades with the best resources and the best infrastructure. HFT firms that spend billions to gain a 1ms advantage. Twitter and news bots that parse breaking news and frontrun the market, and earnings calls, and regular economic news. This is a whole different ****ing level to crypto which still takes 30-45 minutes to "move" a market on news because it's still very manually traded with manual price discovery.

Technically its still pretty good to trade and when technical analysis works we can catch some decent moves in crypto(bitcoin). One of the big problems nowadays in crypto is i am finding it very hard to scalp on 1min charts cuz of lower volatility mostly settling for swing trades..

Doesn't crypto have quants as well? If the same bigger financial institutions have been interested in bitcoin, Surely they are employing the same trading tactics you mentioned in the above post they use in traditional markets. The china news is one of the examples i can think of how news moves crypto markets.

I still think cred's content becoming more common will have an effect on price movement. If many people are using the same trading tactics / same entry triggers won't that affect how a market moves?
