That was IMO a stop hunt - price could possibly continue higher. Anyone who shorted @ 8.2k levels even @ 10x are gonna be super scared RN cuz price is very close to liquidating them. those who shorted with 15x+ most likely got liquidated. I am not taking any major long positions till btc starts closing above 9.5k in the weekly.
careful with BAT..testing 2.3k support too many times..

Based on the new IRS rules, everyone holding BTC is likely to go bankrupt since every time a chitcoin is hardforked from btc (aka 10 times a day), it is a taxable event at the price of the new coin at the second it is hardforked, thus when bitcoin FKU2 is hardforked and the price is at $8,000 for a milisecond before plummeting to 10 cents, you owe the IRS tax on 8000

It doesn't matter what application or protocol you use. If ANYTHING gives you access to the forked coins, by the letter of the guidance, you technically owe tax. Whether you owe tax for the 50 or so bitcoin forks that have happened over the last few years... in practice, I doubt people will pay up on those.
I understand the intent their going for, but juvefan is right on his theory.

The best one is where the tax office declares the fork to be the original coin. (i.e. Australian Tax Office declared Ethereum Classic to be the original which makes technical sense).
Lets say we have 100 ETH, the prices are as follows:
Eth = $1,200 USD
One day later it hard forks, prices are now:
Eth = $1,200 USD
Eth Classic = $16 USD
because the tax office sees classic as the original, you now need to add $120,000 on to your taxable income as capital gains.
You = cucked

Me too, But till btc breaks below 6k area..I don't see sub 100 eth..
ETH has been depreciating in value vs btc like forever now..
Also , as long as btc is above 8.2k on the daily - its not super bearish.
nice pump and thanks for mentioning it here! i didn't buy though!! I hope atleast a couple of miscers were brave enough to buy!Last edited by BDSMBBW; 10-15-2019 at 12:12 PM.
