The dip buying right now is insane, fomo is legit and real at the moment so don't count on it doing anything other then pump until some big players decide to exit and trigger a cascade of trailing stops and extremely weak fomo hands panicking and running for the exit

I've seen traders make comparisons to altcoin exchange listings in the way btc has been trading the past few weeks, and it does remind me of ICX's runup to that meeting or w/e news event it was that ended up marking the top of it before it drilled to the earth's core.

We'll see though. I'm not betting on anything cause imo it's just a straight up gamble, literally could go up, down or sideways lmao but I would be surprised if scammy games aren't played

I mostly don't believe in TA but think there can be some value in pricing an asset relative to its MA's to get an indication of where an asset is at in terms of its recent price:

With Bitcoin on a 4 year cycle due to the halving, I think there is some value in looking at it's 200 week moving average (being ~4 years). If Bitcoin ever approaches its 200Week MA again (red line), I think that is the ultimate buy level:

Bitcoin's price relative to its 200 day moving average (blue line) probably gives a good indicator of when things are heating up or dropping off a little too fast, and could provide a good indication for when taking some profit off the top might be prudent. A price 2x it's 200 day moving average is an occurance that has historically been a really good time to take some profit. It's currently sitting at 1.23x:

If price makes a significant move up form here (a greater than 100% increase), or if price approaches 2x the 200day MA, I will look to sell a portion of my Bitcoin.

A dip towards the 200 week MA will have me getting itchy fingers to accumulate again.

Another interesting statistic is the wikipedia bitcoin page views. Other things that can be checked - check coinbase traffic statistics - has not increased at all in the last month.

I know correlation is not causation and there are other driving forces behind markets, But this market rally is not being caused by retailers fomo'ing. Markets are very complex to understand with a variety of factors influencing price, With corona virus still impacting world economy - I dont know how bitcoin will react.

Purely regarding short term opportunities coz i dont know where market is headed longer term - Short term Trading purely based off of technical levels here - 9400-9500 area is crucial to hold for bulas. If this run is real it has to hold at these levels - breaking below 9400 area would not be good.

The more I think about Bitcoin, the more I realize that it is fukkked long term.

Gold is perhaps the best store of value and it has an unknown total supply, but it´s still scarce. Having a known total supply is not really a good thing unless you talk about collectibles like art and pokemon cards. A currency with a known total cap and deflation is extremely bad from an ecomomic perspective. Bitcoin will go the way of other collectibles with an known total cap. Bitcoin will be a collectible, and only that, a collectible that tech autists will collect. It has no future as a store of value or currency.

Just imagine when there is only 1 million bitcoin left in circulation, because bitcoins get lost every day. Imagine the small amount of transaction and volume that economic system will have haha.

Controlled inflation is a good thing. It´s one of the most important economic principles of a currency. And not having a max cap, doesn´t mean it´s not a good store of value. Gold has an unknown suppply. Bitcoin is old, slow, boring, manipulated, becoming more and more centralized, losing hype. It can´t break 10k right when there is only 2 days to the halvening.

My plan is to pick up my favorite alt coin after Bitcoin crashes AGAIN. Smart money will slowly pull out of bitcoin in the coming years, if not months. Anyone who can´t see this is a fukkin brainlet. Just a friendly advice that bitcoin is not substainable long term, it´s practically impossible for it to be. Other cryptos will take over. This current bitcoin pump is mostly manipulated.

Don´t say I didn´t warn you. When the hype runs out, which it will eventually, bitcoin price will collapse. It might be this months, it might be 1 year from now, but it will happen. Lightning network is a disaster and bitcoin will NOT work without block rewards, as have been proven in academic papers. Most of the core developers in Bitcoin like Mike Hearn has left because they are smart enough to know that it won´t work. Most of the really smart people in crypto already know that it won´t work, just ask some of the top guys that don´t have a bias. Just a friendly reminder that if you stay in bitcoin long term you will likely get phucked, but this is not financial advice, think for yourself, and look to different alt coins.

The halvening is actually bearish for bitcoin, from a tech, security and economic perspective. Any smart person should be able to see this. Bitocin has no compelling use case and it is slow in innovation, which means eventually another coin will take over. It´s so fukkking obvious, but the crypto market mostly attracts moonbois that don´t like to think critically.

As said, bitcoin will suffer greatly with no block rewards. It will make selfish mining and undercutting make sense again, which is very bearish for the network. Bitcoin was a great innovation of it´s time, but it will not break 20k ever again in my opinion. It will at least not stay above that for long if it breaks it.

Sure this halving might turn out to be not rosy - But you must be retarded to be still picking alt coins over bitcoin despite all the **** that has happened over the years lmao.

I'm no expert, but I don't see any reason why we'd expect BTC to pump right now. The 10k mark was a classic run up based around an event, IMO. Crypto is just a manipulated market, so look for a healthy dump months before the next upcoming event and make your purchase. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we saw BTC somewhere between $2000-3000 before EOY.

I made a sale around $9500 and will be waiting to buy the next dip.

Personally, I´m gonna wait till bitcoin drops to $3500, then load up on my favorite alt with everything I have. Well, I´m not gonna go all in at the same time, but almost. It´s so obvious that an alt will win in the long run, way too many problems with bitcoin. The market is not gonna keep ignoring the better option forever. Bitcoin will survive probaby for a bit longer, but eventually it will become a collectible. Currency and store of value is destroyed. Think long term. I´m an expert in long term thinking, it´s my super power.
