Cliffs? I feel like there's only so much concrete signaling we're going to get from a Treasury Sec in a 30 min press conference. I skipped around some and seems like Libra/******** issue was brought up. I'm assuming Trump ran this guy out there to get in front of his feud with Zuckerberg.

I'm starting to get a bad feeling that cryptocurrencies might become collateral damage in Trump vs Zuckerberg.

I feel like cryptocurrencies as a speculative asset does best when it's driven underground and off 'institutional' books. With that comes the extreme volatility, exit scams and hacks...but from a purely 100x perspective, the more regulators avoid putting their stamp on digital assets and treat it as a nuisance/threat, the better.

What if alt season is already over? The pump of many alts back in feb-april was significant - as many alts did more than a 2x in btc value.

What if there is no such thing as alt season and it's just a term made up by people who held ****coins from Dec '17. Much easier to margin long / short BTC than it is to find the next 100x **** coin or even 5x coin

Check april 2017 and april 2018 charts of alts - Thats an alt season. Arguably even april 2019 can be included.

How long/easy is it to do a 5x on your bitmex account? Much easier to do 5x on alts - On bitmex its endless chart viewing - constant anxiety on stop hunts/getting liquidated etc.

Keep hearing about Bybit but haven't used. Any good? Would take a lot for me to move from Bitmex though, nothing really comes close to it except Bitfinex.

Plus they are announcing fixed income products later this month which will be interesting.

I stick with mex, been around longer and Arthur is more public as a leader of it, less chance of exit scam all things being equal

I'm having a rough time of this. I've been trading 2Hrs catching price movement but because I've been trying not to let my losses compound I've been closing trades in the negative. Like today I had 10567 short that I closed at 10901 because "loss" but right now I'd be at a much lower loss if I'd have waited.

Trading lower time frames is hard. IMO you should start with the higher time frames and see where price is headed before deciding to start a trade on the lower TF. 10.9k area was a clear resistance on the daily - Getting out of a trade there is a mistake. You have to remember you are competing with bots and they will always get in before you do.

I need to be more aware on things like that. I had a clearly bad one the day before after the large dump that I cashed in on a lot. For some reason I ignored the cyclical effect like a dummy. Oh well, just working on doing it better this time.

I thought there was going to be like a dedicated subsection where you view the ads, instead of being bombarded by ads

Opt out or adjust for 1-2 ads per hour. If you are using mobile I think there is an issue with how often they are delivered. Also the subsection you might be referring to may be the publisher ads, and those should be similar to ads you see in the webpage or maybe something else.

Start watching krowns crypto cave on youtube - he is a miscer. He does really well on lower TF trading stuff. I learned SOOO MUCH on lower TF trading watching him for a few months every single day. I dont follow him much anymore but what i learned watching him i still apply.

Also follow lowstife,Brotoshimoku(Josh Olszewicz),crypto cred on twitter. These guys put out top quality info.

Even i am still learning despite trading on mex for almost a year. I lost a lot of my portfolio earlier on because i got overconfident and had no idea of risk management. Slowly building it back up. Keep at it - Don't quit and eventually we'll improve. Slow improvements do count a lot on the longer time range.

Also one critical thing - When you use stop loss - use the last price trigger for stop loss- Mark price will rek you hard.
