Black Friday 2018 is about 3.5 weeks away. Anyone have any intel of what deals will be worth checking out yet?
I'll be in the market for an incline bench and some barbell storage.

Hey Richard, hope all is good with you!
Do you still have a Rogue rack? I thought you were legendary only. I see Werksan seem to be going out of business - any deals in the UK as a result? Seems unlikely.
For Black Friday I’d like lockable bar storage and some decent plates - if Rogue Europe do hundo pricing I’ll geh some calibrated plates. Not sure what combo of plates to get though!!My Strength Training Blog: http://www.peckmeout.com/

I'm going to keep this page of all BF gym equipment sales updated now through November, and I'll add more stores that aren't on the list (left over from last year) yet.
https://www.tworepcave.com/2018-blac...uipment-deals/
There are other sales going on, but so far Titan is the only one I see using the Black Friday wording in their sale.
Right now it's just "pre" Black Friday sales, but those can be good too, if it's the item you want. The high volume stores like Rogue rotate their sale items to avoid running out of stock (and to keep people engaged in watching the site), so if something goes on sale now it might be your only chance.www.tworepcave.com

You haven't been around much lately, I hope you're good, Lol, no still got my Legend racks.
I've been looking for a monolift attachment for a wile, not a lot of choice over here,,
but I managed to find a deal on a pair of Rogue bolt on mono's, they're not designed to fit either of
my racks, currently I have them on my Pro half rack, at bench height and bolted, I intend modifying
them to fit my drop in racking, at least I can then adjust them without having to use a wrench
I'm not sure Werksan is going out of business, I believe the US distributor has been in financial
trouble and Werksan appear to be revamping their US operation.
You still happy with your ATX set up?.

Yea I know I don’t come by often enough - only now and then! I’ve been on exodus strength forum a lot lately - you should check it out!
The ATX kit is great and still going strong! They seem to be releasing a lot of good add ons aimed more at the Rogue type market which will be good for the brand. I’ve still got the same basic set up for now. Tempted by the pull-up attachment and some bar storage in due course.
I wouldn’t be without the monolift attachment for bench - must be great having it on the legend rack. I use them for squats to but to be honest I prefer regular J’s for them.
You added any new kit? All I can think of that’s new is the Echo Bike for conditioning. Would like to add a bar - there’s a new ATX power bar but I’m not sure on the nickel phosphate coating. I’ll see if TGR get the stainless bar in.My Strength Training Blog: http://www.peckmeout.com/

I tried getting the Stainless Vulcan Absolute. Which I had it in hand for a few days. Awesome bar. Loved it. Rings were in the wrong place. If I didn't compete in powerlifting it would not have mattered.
But I sent it back in exchange for the absolute black oxide. Totally different bar. Good bar and I like it for bench and squats. Not so much for deadlifts.
Then I've been waiting for a stainless steel rep fitness power bar. First batch couldn't handle holding a wet noodle. Second batch the rings were in the wrong place. Third batch came in and then it was announced a more aggressive knurling was going to come out soon...

Before buying the Mammoth I pretty much had it narrowed down to AB or Vulcan. With the recent reviews on the PowerSpeed knurling compared to Vulcan I would 100% hold off on that decision no matter the length of time. REP's bar should come in at LEAST a couple hundred cheaper and the sleeves will be silky smooth.

I would imagine so, we are talking coating VS bare stainless. If the PowerSpeed and Absolute V2 are VERY similar in feel, both are reported to be a touch more aggressive than the OPB, then in theory they should feel even deeper without a coating. That's what I'm hoping will happen to REP's new stainless power bar, should put it somewhere between the Vulcan Absolute V2 and their more expensive stainless power bar. I NEED a bare steel stainless barbell, I'm enjoying the Mammoth bar but the cerakote has reduced the knurling from 'Grippy' to more 'Passive' compared to the original Super Power Bar. I'm finding it requires chalk to give it a secure feel, something I never had to use while pressing with the TPB. It's a BEAUTIFUL barbell though, stiff as hell and so far the Cerakote seems durable, but I just wish the passive knurling would have been more reminiscent of the prior version. If it had the blue/purple shaft while keeping the current specs it would be utter perfection.

I'm a fan of the Ohio PB for its bang for the buck. Very good bar but I don't like it personally.
The Vulcan Absolute black oxide grips really well. Not a deep knurl but a fine sharp knurl. Except the center is a mild knurl. More then passive. Despite that milder center knurl the bar grips really good on the back for squats. I've been using it for several months now and decided to swap it to my Ohio PB. I quickly liked the Vulcan bar even more and the Ohio less. The Ohio PB felt slick compared to the Vulcan BO PB. Especially as I was getting closer to and going over 400lbs. The milder knurl has been nice for front squats and just in case of nose/chin touching with over head presses.
So, if someone is looking for a PB this black Friday I can definitely recommend the Absolute v2 black oxide. The knurl is sharp so it's not so fun with higher rep deadlifts with a hook grip. Alternate grip wasn't so bad once used to it or with straps is fine.
My favorite bar to pull with is still my B&R v1 bar.
If the Vulcan SS PB drops under $500 grab it. The knurl is deeper and big diamonds. Not the little needles of the Absolute black oxide. Felt really good in the hands and on the back.My Training Journal: http://tinyurl.com/jasons-journal
