Bench looks awesome. I have a perfectly good Rogue Adjustable that I love and I'm seriously considering swapping it out. I don't even do decline (though for sit ups it would see use). It's a really nice looking bench. Well done.

    Nice review.
PS: are those some of my flipdowns on the rack? I don't keep track of anything, so just curious if 2x3 flipdowns are available anywhere else.

    They're definitely yours

Although I am about to be selling my rack. My new Sorinex rack arrives next week.

Anyone put together their AB-5000 zero gap yet? I've spent an hour trying to get the thing fully stable, but no dice. The bench is stable when flat, but when in an upright position, I'm getting side to side wobble. I've tried it all over the gym, took the feet off to check the level on them, and they seem fine. Looking for any tips. I'll give Rep a call tonight or tomorrow, when I get some time.

(Yes, I watched the assembly video, and am slowly going from loose to tight on the feet bolts)

Not sure what the cause could be. Mine is rock solid in every position. Is it side to side on the support feet themselves or more on the back joint?

It's on the feet. I can stand on the front feet on the sides of the T and wobble it. I have a feeling the pieces of the bench that attach to the feet at out of square/level.

I took a quick video of me sitting on the bench, with the back at 75 degrees and gently moving my rear end back and forth. Seems like maybe the front T isn't square, or the rubber feet on the bottom are causing some wobble. I spent another 30 minutes trying to even this thing out.

I gave Rep a call, and they're trying to figure it out. They suggested I try it without the feet. (tried a few different places in the basement) Looks like the frame could be the issue.

Not ideal, but it seems like you could maybe put a shim/washer in between the frame and the feet on one side and get it sorted out.. must be a SLIGHT twist in the frame or error when welding it up or something..

I thought about trying a washer to even it out, but there isn't much meat left on the threads for another washer. I talked to Rep, and shared the videos. They agree something is up with the frame and are replacing the whole unit. Awesome customer service!

I was curious if I could build some sort of rig to bend it back into parallel as well. A long 2"x4" extended to one side and bolted on might have a chance. I have a few sledge hammers as well. I was worried about what might happen to the paint though. I had ideas if they didnt help.

my 5100 is absolutely rock solid...was initially disappointed with the leg attachment, but that was all on me. once I slid the foot pads to the center and repositioned the collars it has been worlds better. Added benefit of being able to do reverse leg curls off the attachment was a total bonus too for me.

Rep Fitness DEAL Alert, looks like some PowerSpeed bar's on clearance with slightly shorter outside smooth areas. For $239 it seems like a hella good deal!

Duke, status in the aggressive stainless? My birthday is coming up, trying to decide whether to hold out or maybe jump on one of those clearance bars...

Looks like a really nice bar and the knurl looks great. It will be for banded pulls. I pull in my rack and I put my oil rags under my bands so the knurl doesn't fray the bands. I won't have to do that with this bar.. . Otherwise I don't care about the knurl there or my hook.

My Rep Excalibur v1 is the mag phosphate coating which is very grippy which helps its mild knurling. I'm excited to try out another rep fitness bar. The Excalibur v1 is bushing but has the best spin of all my bushing bars. Though the spin on the speed bar won't mater so much for the lifts I'll use it for.

I'm just annoyed with the Mammoth for pressing, got used to the TPB and if I forget to chalk up I can feel my hands slip. This looks like a decent solution, and my Mono's are offset so the shorter smooth area would still work out well. Slowly talking myself there

Thoughts on the Manganese as a main 29mm power bar?
I still don't own one amazingly. Is this a no brainer or are there better options for the price? The knurling spacing is a non-issue.

I don't know anything about the speed bar personally other then pics look very nice.

But I do have experience with the coating which is nice and grippy. It will scratch like any other coating with metal on metal. Being more aggressive then my Excalibur v1 it should have amazing holding benifits. Even if not super aggressive. This is going to be my new beater.
