Also, I like the idea of being able to go double sided in the future and with all their attachments I'm sure they will come up with a well designed Mono given what they have done with their other equipment.

SO, just need Duke to activate that 'Order' button so I can sit my REP bar and Equalizer plates on a REP rack
I’m also looking at possibly getting the HR5000. What color are you looking to go with? Have you heard anything on how Reps powder coat holds up? I wish they had the clear grind as an option for the HR5000 since that probably hides scratches and scuffs better than the black or color.

One thing I am concerned with though is the height of the multigrip pull up bar. I don’t want to hang it upside down but my ceiling is about 99” and by pictures it looks like the mutigrip pull up bar sits higher than the 93” uprights.

The only other thing I’m not a huge fan of is the Rep nameplate. The nameplate on the PR5000 looks a lot better.

If you can wait around 3 months you will be happy then Both of your issues with raw clear coat and nameplate solved by then.

That’s amazing!!! The HR5000 in clear coat and updated nameplate is my dream rack. I will definitely wait. I will also be buying some accessories and 450 lbs of equalizer plates too. Now I just hope all of it will be in stock at once so I can save on shipping since I live in Maryland lol.

Thanks so much for sharing that info.

I have a launch HR5000 from when they first went out, and these are great improvements. The old name plate left wasn't as nice as the newer ones. Eventually down the line I'd be interested in a simple 3x3 cross member like there is on the PR4000 series so I could use it to mount additional gadgets. I know target market is commercial gym, but we know they make it into home gyms more often so flexibility is key. I've even considered picking up the stabilizing bar and use that instead, but it mounts on the outsie of rack instead of inbetween. I also see in some pics of newer halfracks having more laser cut holes on more of the cross members and that's also adds options.

Original metallic black paint is holding up well after 1 year. Chalk doesn't stick to it and it cleans up easier than powdercoat. I would of loved a cleargrind though.

I wish they came out with a better name plate for the Rep PR4000 like they have for their PR5000. I get that the PR5000 is suppose to be their premier rack but isn't the PR4000 on the same level?

The height shouldn't be an issue, the side cross-members seem like they can be mounted lower which would drop the pull-up bar down. I'm not too concerned with the color, I don't personally understand the desire for clear coat and would rather have a scratched up black color. Also, I planned on eventually removing the REP nameplate and adding my own personal touch to the rack, so that's a non-issue as well.

One is Monster and the other is Monster Lite.

Monster is 1" hardware Monster Lite 5/8"
Monster has keyholes on side ML doesn't
Monster has numbered holes...not sure if this was added to ML
Monster had a 7 gauge steel option but now both are 11 gauge
    Both are 3x3"
Attachments are A LOT cheaper for Monster Lite

Probably some other differences. It's on Rogue's site.

Thanks everyone, I went with the wide pad on the FB5000. The red bench was the only color available, so that made my decision easy in that regard.

I'm still a little nervous of my triceps hitting at the bottom of the bench press and not being able to get full extension, but we will see. Thank you for the help.

Personally, this is why I went with a single pullup vs the multigrip. You can mount the cross members lower, but I didn't want to do that. So I just got the single pull up and mounted it on the front down a few holes so I can actually reach it from the ground without having the jump/step on something. If I really want a multi grip pull up in the future, I'll probably get something like the Sorinex Cliff Hanger.

not too much more if one is considering the clear coated, as Rep charges clear coated quite a bit more than regular color.

You bastard! Had the red bench in my cart and it was gone by the time I hit checkout.

    j/k

Let us know how it goes. I was going to get the FB4000, but this thread convinced me to get the FB5000 wide pad.

both are too expensive, but its like 2x for stainless. As much as I like stainless, not worth it IMO.

I ended up buying the Bells of Steel belt squat 2.0 instead of waiting for that Rep 5000v2 belt squat attachment. I couldn't be happier. As much as I wanted to save space, that attachment is going to be another thing I've got to move around and fumble with in a session. You're also going to be forced to build boxes to stand on to reach depth. I also don't think it's going to hold much weight unless you bolt everything down, as the pulley system rocks with 200lbs on it.

So that leaves the ISO arms, any date on those yet do I go for another brand?

Honestly, I've wondered about the stability from the very beginning, but I figured REP doesn't typically put out stuff that's completely unusable like Titan so maybe I was mistaken. But it seems like the floor pulley is out too far in the video, which could potentially cause 'tipping' issues if the rack isn't bolted down. Although given how modular these racks are it shouldn't be too hard to position the floor pulley so that it's directly below the top pulley, just have to leave enough space between the cable and your face.

Although given how modular these racks are it shouldn't be too hard to position the floor pulley so that it's directly below the top pulley, just have to leave enough space between the cable and your face.
I would think if you did that, you'd end up with more cable and have to stand on even higher boxes. The lat pulldown tower is perfect for what it was designed for but not for this. In the end I'm glad I didn't wait for Rep to release it.

Definitely, but it's another one of those 'easy fix' situations to shorten the cable to the length that you specifically need. Really, anyone with a power rack and a little ingenuity should be able to make a 'Poor Man's' belt squat attachment cheaper. Through a combination of rack attachable pulleys, shackles, loading pin, extra crossmember, quick release pin, cable from Lowe's, ect. We've seen it with the lever arms, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to figure out a way to make this work.....

I was able to get an order placed for a Rep Bench on May 21st. Their email says there may be a 7-10 day delay. Has this been pretty standard for them? Has anyone had any experience with not getting a tracking number and having the item just randomly show up? I guess I'm secretly hoping it's already been shipped.

I was fortunate and my PowerSpeed bar shipped in about three days. I did get a tracking number emailed to me, so I'd expect you will too. Congrats on the new bench! I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

I've been refreshing REP's page daily hoping they'll find a black HR-5000 sitting in the back of the stock room for me too snag.

Only a few more weeks to go, not having a rack is killing me!

Am I the only person that finds nameplates pointless and a waste of space/material? I like having a 1" and 2" pull up bar option as opposed to some pointless nameplate.

Not directed at you Anthony, just an observation that I see more and more talk about nameplates and I simply don't get the appeal

I've always thought the same. I would much rather have something functional than a big brand name. I can't imagine a situation where a double pullup bar isn't stable enough.

No, you are not. Rep's is especially large, and I don't like that I can customize basically every option on the 5000 rack, but I still have to pay for a $79 nameplate even if I'm not going to use it:

Thanks for the feedback. We'll consider whether to make it optional. It's reeeally tough to tell racks apart w/o that branding though, which is one reason we do it. Another small reason is that the attachment plate is large and adds to the stability/rigidity of the rack. Not necessary, but nice to have.

The main reason we include it though is that it's required for the lat/low row and some of the related attachments we are releasing or may develop in the future. It's a lot easier to develop those knowing everyone has the same mounting/attachment points. If you know you'll never need those, or don't mind paying for extra pieces later on, putting something else there may be a good option.

Same. I peel off all decals and don't install any nameplates. They're just ugly, like having massive stickers and logos all over a car (or anything else for that matter).

I don't think they make a regular 3x3 cross member. I know it's something I would like to option as you could mount a different type of accessory there. Maybe instead option it out as a required but let you pick 3x3, pull-up bar or nameplate all at the same price. I think most people would still pick the nameplate but those that want can get something different.
