Yeah, I dig it! Thanks
No problem! Yeah it was just something I noticed on my first couple reps of using it.. I may end up preferring the moderate knurl pattern of this one.. we'll see once I get some real use with it. It's definitely not what I would call "aggressive," just a bit more bite than your standard curl bar. Probably just b/c it doesn't have a coating like so many other curl bars... I would definitely put it on your list. That rackable stainless one is sweet!
Thanks bud! I'm a sucker for stainless!Equipment Crew #68, Ivanko Crew #47, Rogue Barbell Club #7, Mech6 Crew #30

The rackable stainless curl bar is definitely in my future, I'm getting along fine with the CAP Premium 5' but loading does get annoying and it would sure make things easier for pullovers and tricep extensions. I'd probably view the moderate knurling as a positive given my love for the EX PB, it will wear down a little with time and the last thing I'd want is the bar to be totally passive.

ordered up some Rep V2 Rubber coated plates.
I ordered a pair of 10lb plates to see if they fit all the sleeves on my various equipment, they came in today and they fit everything nicely.
So I placed a bigger order today for some 25,10, 2.5lb plates. the 5lb were out of stock.
A bit pricey I think, or maybe I am just out of the loop. its just been awhile since I bought some plates, but they do seem to get you on the shipping.
Was waiting for some cheaper metal plates from various manufactures but these came back in stock and or course I am impatient.
I've never owned any rubber or urethane plates before- these do seem to have a bit of smell, hopefully won't last too long.Last edited by grumpytude; 01-21-2021 at 01:55 PM.

I emailed REP nearly 3 weeks ago inquiring about a pad. Crickets. A little over a week later, they posted on their FB page claiming a 48-hour turnaround time for email responses. I responded and ultimately, received a PM a couple days later instructing me to send the email directly instead of using the contact form on their site. Sure, np. Tomorrow is day 12 since the second email and ~3 weeks since the initial email. Still no reply. My expectations are low during COVID as I know they're getting inundated, but c'mon guys - 3 weeks just for a reply? I hate to think of how long my order will take if we ever get that far.

My PowerSpeed bar is about a year in now and no rust so far but it lives in an insulated and climate controlled garage so there's that. That amount of rust on a stainless bar is pretty absurd and I really like my PowerSpeed bar but I doubt I'd buy it again if I was in the market now (and they still made it) just because it seems like Rep doesn't use the best of materials.

I'm dreading having to deal with them regarding the warranty issues with their sandwich Jcups with the bad urethane. It's amazing to me how they simply can't get out of their own way, seems like they had the right intentions, not sure if it was growing too big too fast or what, but they've seen to take a page out Titan's book on how not to do things.

That's probably the best way to sum his videos up, 100% unboxing because he knows nothing about the equipment market. Starts out this vid saying REP has the first rackable out there when clearly Troy has been out for YEARS!!! Boggles my mind though that he doesn't even mention the rust, guess when you get paid to not say anything bad you just start with a close up shot and let the comments section do the rest LOL. Never had any issues with my EX rusting, but this does kind of turn me off buying the more expensive stainless over their chrome option. Hmmn.

Honestly, and I'm saying this as a REP PR-5000 and PB EX owner, their prices are to a point now where I'm just not sure it makes sense going in that direction. Before, their prices were lower and you'd get a good value to cost ratio, now, the prices are pretty much up there with Rogue, so a REP purchase is much more a gamble than a value play. Add on top of this all their V1 release fails, and they've become more a negative than a positive. I don't regret going in the REP direction, I absolutely love the clear grind finish on my rack and I really like the idea of being able to drop their lat pull attachment inside of it (if it ever becomes in stock again...that's another topic to complain about), but if I was too do it all over again, I think I'd have a really hard time going with REP again, especially with their escalating prices and increased problems.

Hate to say it but I agree. Have bought a few things from Rep and been really happy with them and Duke seems to have his heart in the right place and want to introduce innovation but they need to take a step back and reassess their operations, business model and who they want to compete with and in which space.
I hope they get it back together but certainly some work to do{5'7" and under #1}

I agree, both Titan and REPs pricings have been going up and up, but don't kid yourself, Rogue has been increasing prices plenty themselves as well,especially shipping charges. That said though, if the prices are close, not sure why one wouldn't just pay up and go with Rogue for peace of mind moving forward.
