If so, can a 5100 be upgraded to a 5000?

Hey Duke - Has Rep ever thought about making an EZ curl bar? Seems like there's an opportunity for a quality rackable bar that a lot of people might snap up. Granted, "a lot" is still a niche, but might be an interesting product to consider. Off hand can't think of a good one on the market.

Agreed. I was going to buy the convict once an overstock coupon became available but Id gladly pay more for a rep bar (as long ad it had c-clip end and not hex bolt). Maybe a sexy stainless?

I would be in for a stainless, rackable curl bar! The stainless AB bar is sexy, but rackable would set it apart.

Haha! If you're being serious I would actually be 100% on board with buying one (in addition to your next stainless). There currently is a void in the market for an affordable rack able curl bar (30mm) and stainless would be amazing. I would copy Ivanko's bends, they are the best I have used out of all the curl bars I have touched (York, CAP, Troy, Body Solid, Xmark, Irongrip & Ivanko obz30). As for the knurling, I think your medium knurling would be about perfect. There is no need to go Ohio Power Bar sharp on a curl bar.

Agreed! Only things I'd add is the medium knurl on the current stainless power bar would be perfect. Also, I would emulate the higher end Ivanko curl bars. I have their lowest end oxide bar that doesn't fully straighten out in the middle. Not a big fan of that. Otherwise the angles are good!

Couple other notes. Long sleeves and a total bar weight in a 5 lb increment would be nice. Makes the math and plate selection easier.

12" width, can't change 5100 to 5000 because it's a lot of parts, zero gap plus decline at 15 degrees is perfectly straight versus a bit angled head area on 5100.

Good, it's being produced but no firm date yet. Within 3-4 months. KG would be once we're in Europe since demand for those isn't strong in usa.
