No problem and glad you like it!
The guys at the powerlifting gym I go to liked it as well. If you know who Jason Coker is, he said "that's a good barbell"

I considered them but went with American Barbell's 4 grip plates: https://americanbarbell.com/products/usa-olympic-plates. Made in the US and the weight tolerance is insanely good at +/- 10-20g. IMO having 4 handgrips is really great. Also pricing was cheaper than Rep for my ~260lbs order.

The brand & numbers are molded in the plates, compared to decals on the Reps.

I also considered Rogue's 6-shooters, but they were more expensive for a lower tolerance imported product.

Some of Rep's stuff like their urethane dumbbells, benches and stainless bars are as good or better than other options in their price range. I wasn't really impressed with the urethane plates.

Either way, I would order a few plates to test before placing a large order.

Totally agree on the 4 grips part. I've had Ivanko revolvers, Ivanko Slotted, Umax (3 slots) and have handled Cemco (similar to Rogue, 6 holes), Hampton (5 slots) and Intek (5 slots)... Save for the Cemco plates, they all have an odd number of holes which make it difficult to grip when loading a barbell. The arc on the American Barbell plates is way more comfortable for handling.

I just picked up 2 more pairs of 45's last night. 10/10, would recommend to a friend.

Nice review! Really appreciate the comparison to the other bars. Too bad about the knurl imperfections, but that wouldn't stop me from buying if I was in the market.

I would highly recommend Body Solid rubber coated quad grip plates. My entire set up uses those and they're fantastic. I've weighed all the plates myself and they're highly accurate as well.

I'm pretty happy with my Rogue revolvers but I'm sure it's very much a matter of individual taste.

I didn't know American Barbell had these plates - though when I got my revolvers a number of options didn't exist (like Rogue's 6 Shooters).

One thing I would caution is that some of the grip plates are not standard diameter - ie when you deadlift or pull from the floor the bar will sit lower than standard regulation. This may not matter much for some (and if using only to load presses/squats or machines then doesn't matter at all) but it's a non-starter for my uses.

^Good point on the plate diameter. American Barbell 45’s are 17.0” tall.

The Ivanko slotted (17.75” tall) have the tightest hole tolerance on my Ivanko OBX-20kg bar so I tend to use them for floor work since they won’t move as much as my next tallest Umax plates (17.5” tall).

The Umax 45’s stay on the leg press, the Ivanko slotted stay on the lower storage pins for floor work, and the American Barbell plates stay on the higher storage pins for squats and bench pressing.

The rep Urethane grip plates are only 15.5" which is too bad. They are otherwise great looking plates.

PR-5000 V2 in green and clear coat now available on their site for way cheaper than the other colors. Not sure if this is a pricing error.

Edit: Appears to be fixed now.

Duke, you gonna have PR 5000 v2 93" uprights in black or 30" cross members in clear coat next week for your black friday sale?

Finding the color your want in the size you want is a exercise in madness on your website.

Curious about this, too, Duke. Stock seems to be all over the place making it pretty tough to get a matching set in the height and depth you want. Desperately hoping this will be restocked by next week (or at least possibility for back order - I don't mind waiting)

We've been hit with higher than anticipated demand, so what we're going to do is put everything in-stock with ETA's for those that want to take advantage of the sale price.

We've expanded our manufacturing capacity recently so hopefully these kinds of issues are much less in the future.

Thanks. This is the way to go. Don't mind waiting a little longer.

Is the late January, early February ship time just you being conservative? I have finally settled on the PR-5000 but two months is a long time!

Duke read my PM. Also appears that your websites is either broken or almost every PR 5000 V2 combo is now out of stock? Same with PR 4000. Very disappointing...

You can save some money by purchasing fitness equipment around the holidays, but it is the worst time to actually do it. EVERYBODY is purchasing fitness gear right now. Items will be going in and out of stock consistently for the next several weeks. On top of that, the shipping companies are overworked and treat most packages like junk.

Understood, and I'm not trying to complain cause it's honestly not that big of a deal to me to wait a few weeks (2 and a half months is kind of a different story, but whatever). But fitness companies should be able to predict a large swing in demand. If all your premier products are out of stock BEFORE your sale begins, you really messed.

That said, appreciate the ability to pre-order and still get the sale price.

Obviously Rep knows this is a busy time and were trying to prepare in advance, but there's only so much they can do. Duke is probably busy coping with that instead of replying to your PM. They have to deal with international shipping and manufacturing, which is impacted by numerous factors that don't give two chits about the holidays. If you want better predictability, increase your budget and look at companies that primarily produce goods domestically.

Not completely certain, but I think the leg rollers went up in price.

I can't argue that but you'd be waiting either way. The closest thing to the 5000v2 is the Sorinex Basecamp, which is over double the price and will take several weeks to be produced. I'm glad I bought my 5000v2 as soon as it debuted, I knew this would happen.

Dang, the racks did seem to jump up almost $100. I am pretty sure the black 5000v2 was around 835 before and now starts at over 900. Is this another case where prices are raised right before a sale?

I’ve always felt it was a little quirky. For instance, if it starts with metallic black, then I click something else, and then go back to metallic black, the price is different that when it started. It seems like that’s always been the case. Not sure if the prices have risen ahead of sale.

Their rack selection pages are quite buggy to be honest. Prices float all over the place. But I do agree that the price seems to have increased.

Also looks like you can no longer select 93" upright in blue.
