Cellucor C4 On The Go Orange Slice & Purple Frost

Cellucor C4 Original was the very first preworkout I ever used, a few years back when I began my transformation. I went through 4-5 tubs of it that first year, and after that I got tired of it and wanted to try something different. I never returned to it. Until now.

Two weeks ago I was given the opportunity to try the new C4 On The Go in two flavors: Orange Slice and Purple Frost.



I’ve been using this for two weeks almost daily and would like to offer some feedback.

TASTE:
Orange Slice 10/10
Purple Frost 9/10

The only reason I gave the other flavor a lower score is because I don’t really like grape soda, and this reminded me of it. If you do like grape soda, you will like this a lot.

The taste in both flavors is nothing short of amazing. I always chilled them in the fridge or on top of a bunch of ice and drank it ice-cold. I wouldn’t pour this in a glass over ice so as not to dilute it.

Do you like Fanta? Orange Fanta is one of my favorite (anything citrus is #1 for me) and this actually tasted just like Orange Fanta. It is well flavored, not overpowering, not chemical-tasting, and the fact that it is carbonated makes it quite refreshing.

PROFILE: 10/10
Some of the features include 200mg Caffeine for energy, Beta-Alanine for muscle endurance, and Citrulline Malate for increased nitric oxide levels. There is 30mg Niacin, which is right below the recommended daily dosage (35mg) so you’ll be safe there. There are ZERO calories, ZERO carbs and ZERO sugars. I like this profile quite a bit. I like the fact that they did not add any artificial color in there. I don’t need to see “orange” in order to taste it … LOL

EFFICIENCY: 10/10
I’ve been extremely busy and haven’t gone to the gym in a few weeks. My workouts are currently done at home, 3-4 sessions a week, involving mostly body-weight compound exercises: push-ups, pull-ups, jumping-jacks, etc.

The C4 On The Go has been very efficient for my workouts and provided sufficient energy. I like a few tingles from my pre, and there are some with the C4 On The Go... but tingles can sometimes be deceiving - they are not always a guarantee that there is also energy. The C4 On The Go provided me with sufficient energy every time. I am curious how this would do at the gym on a heavy lifting day.

PRICE: 8/10
I didn’t pay for this, but I pay for most of my supplements. When not on sale, one serving comes to about $2.50 before shipping, and since this is a heavy item, free shipping is seldom offered.

Is this worth $2.50 per serving? I think it is. Would I buy this and use it daily? Yes, I would definitely buy it but No, I wouldn’t use it daily because I couldn't afford it. I would also buy it locally at a brick & mortar store and save on shipping. This is not cheap, but it is good!

OVERALL: 9.5/10
Quite happy with this and will definitely use it again. Will try some of the other flavors as well. Very glad I got to try the Orange Slice. I liked that flavor very much. If you are a grape-soda person, you’ll like the Purple Frost for sure. I liked that flavor as well, but not as much as the OS.

SUGGESTION:
Cellucor should make this in “Ruby Red Grapefruit” and I’ll be all over it!!!
