Same here - we started the process of building a new home and getting ours ready to sell. Saying goodbye to our first house after 7 years, after living as renters for 20 years before that. Now we have to prep a few things (touch up paint, landscape) to sell, and it's a big jump to our new home in price, size, neighborhood.
Got one left, she decided to go to the local university so she decided to stay home.
We just went to Hollywood a couple months ago, and we live on the east coast as well. The obvious recommendation is that if you have never tried it, you have to go to In-n-Out. I got a Double-Double Animal & Protein Style, Fries, and Neapolitan Shake. 1600 Cals - DONE! The absolutely friendliest and most professional service. (I did my first experience in Dallas last week). Universal Studios Hollywood is very different from it's Orlando counterpart. Madame Tussaud's is a fun way to spend an hour or two. and if you can time it right, you may be able to stand out with the crowd for a movie premier . This is assuming you'd be in the Hollywood & Highland area.
And we have a cruise a friend is taking us on coming up. Somewhere in the Caribbean, sometime in the next few weeks. Got no clue exactly what date or what locations. It's the magical mystery cruise.

I'm on the verge of selling my house, and then applying for jobs in sunnier locations to try and get away from the rain. Although the PNW is pretty, I'd rather be in a warmer climate that doesn't rain. Having 2+ years experience as an analyst, plus a bachelors degree shouldn't make the job search too difficult. I'm in talks with a recruiter / head hunter so hopefully that leads to something! Always been a fan of Scivation, Quake 10.0 was a great pre, and the Lemon Drop flavor was amazeballs

Nothing as exciting as others but I am done cutting as of this summer and starting the bulking season. Do I qualify for both "new beginning" and "end of an era?" The goal is to hit 315 on squat, 225 on bench, and 135 on overhead press, and ... 315 on deadlift. I started DL not too long ago hence the "lightweight." BW is 155lb at the moment. It was extremely difficult to increase maxes while cutting.

I am a big SciVation fan! I really loved the new generation of products, especially Quake and Flexatril! I have written many reviews for you guys and would love to be on the list for when new flavors or new products drop.
I'll have to think on stories. I'm sure I definitely have some good ones. Will update when I have one in mind!☑*CountryMike Appreciation Crew*☑

I would love to through my hat in the ring for this opportunity and maybe take some great new products with me on my journey.
Personally I am an entering a new era.
When I started my gym journey 8 years ago, it was to lose weight. Did that, to the tune of just over 100 pounds.
Along the way I found a couple things, the first was therapeutic side of things. But more importantly I found the ability to adapt and succeed.
Being an amputee lifting has always been a challenge, especially lifting heavy. I always avoided the big three.
So whats my new era? I will be competing in my first powerlifting competition November 3rd with my 2nd tentatively scheduled for next March.
I've come to enjoy the challenge both mentally and physically, but still must get stronger and a bit leaner!!
Come follow my journey on IG @1armlifts

My contest prep season will officially end next weekend, but first a show this weekend and one more next weekend. I'm super excited to hit the stage 2 more times, having competed earlier in September, but also just as excited to go into a long offseason. I can't help but to start planning my first hypertrophy mesocycle and really stick to a religious offseason as I can. Limit cheat meals, eat the same foods and train intense and wise. I want to really set myself up for some decent muscle growth these next 3-4 years and really stand out on a pro stage!

Haha yeah I'm staying away from California, plenty of other great places. I'm stuck between Denver and Austin, but am leaning more towards Denver. The <20% humidity and sun 300 days a year appeals to my cold blood and hate for humidity and rain. I've been to Denver before and it's beautiful with the Rockies in the background. It's also not anymore expensive than Portland as far as living, and when I can walk to work without getting rained on, I'm saying goodbye to the car! Or at least downgrading, saving boat loads of money each month. 2019 is going to be a great year for me!

Another week down, Friday is meaningless to me right now cause working so much. Contractors quoted us 16k to install a security system. I’m just going to do it myself for about 2500 not counting labor. Not sure why security systems have such a crazy high markup. They really aren’t that hard this day in age.

My biggest change as of late is probably the fact that after years of training, competing, and teaching, my martial arts journey is slowing down significantly. I'll never let that chapter of my life close completely, but with my own kids now competing in their own sports and other family and work obligations, somethings gotta give.
What I'm really excited for is this means that I'll be able to become a little more involved with coaching the kids sports. I'm already signed up to help with winter basketball and I'll be coaching coach pitch softball in the spring.

My end of summer/new era story is I have officially become a full time starving musician. I gave up my job to focus on playing as many gigs as possible. I am scared to death but this is my dream and I am all in. I already got a few shows lined up and some potential ones coming. Everyone says I am crazy but those are the same people who spend their whole life miserable because they never go after any dreams. I respect their choices but I am living my life. I never wanted to be Mr Olympia, but I do want to be the best built rocker. And true story, while my bandmates have beers at practice, I have a shaker with Xtend Blood Orange.
