My girlfriend broke up with me this summer so that can be considered an end of an era since we were together for 2 years.
As for new beginnings, I also started college this september as the first of my family to go to uni and going for my bachelors in econometrics. It's tough but i love giving something my all, just like how i try to go for PR's in the gym. It's good to have a clear goal and something to focus on.
My plans for this winter is to survive my midterms and to keep lifting so that i will become the best version of myself both physically and mentally and work towards a better future (boring i know). Other than that, i'm looking forward to small things like seeing the new Creed movie that's coming out, having a giant cheat meal on thanksgiving day and watch classic christmas movies during the holidays like Jingle All The Way.Cobra Kai never dies!

Well, it's more of an "end of the era" for me. Finished med school, finished most of my exams, (if I weren't training at that time, I would already have a depression )
Now I'll be focusing on getting to residency and starting new life, but before that, whole fall, I won't be doing anything I deserve some rest.I lift things up and put them down...

For me, I am going to have a big winter working on my big 3 lifts. I haven't gotten into it very seriously as of yet, but about a month ago, I committed myself to getting my diet more dialed in, spending more time in the gym, and working on getting my lifts on point as far as form. I had to overcome problems with both shoulders that kept me from benching for about 6 months total of the last year and a half, and my lift really suffered. Now I am healthy, and this winter, I am going to hit it hard. I have decided I am going to compete in the future. At least once...just for the experience

A new beginning story for me is getting my second teaching job at a new school. I left a very small, 300 kids, Catholic High School. I was there for three years and I loved my colleagues there, but needed a change. I was no longer happy going to work. I wasn't upset either, just content.
I got a job at a public school in the same city, but with 1,500 kids. Public schools are better because of the union, benefits, pay, pension, etc. Even though I do not enjoy all my classes, I am happy going into work every morning and see it as a new challenge. I am even teaching classes I have never taught before which adds to the excitement. Working in such a large school as made me change some of my classroom management skills, which is another challenge I have enjoyed. I have to put a lot more work in this school, but it has been rewarding so far. Just the other day, I had one boy from my US History class I am the best teacher he has ever had, and that is only 10 or so weeks in.August 19, 2012 - Underwent heart transplant and still lifting strong!

I had a few very big new beginnings !
1st baby (she's 6 months old now) She's the center of my life. Love her
New full time job as a firefighter/paramedic in AZ- Had to move 13 hours away, sell the house and a car all in a couple weeks. Been trying to get a full time fire job for 2 years.
Been able to keep the gym a priority in my life and still killin it ! It's very important to me. It's part of who I am.
Love scivation - Xtend has always been my amino of choice. Quake is freakin strong too. Loved when I used that pre. The lemon drop was amazingThe 2 most important things to me when training are 1. The Muscle Mind Connection. and 2. Intensity

Aww man this is a tough one....I think the biggest summer event for me was experiencing Niagra Falls for the first time with my wife and son.....we visited Canada again while out that way and didn’t have enough change to go across the toll/boarder crossing back to the US and some nice New Yorker handed us his change to get through....very cool of him. I mean, they advertised $.50 per person but the sign at the boarder said $1 per person....WTF is that?! Canada is a nice place tho. Spent a couple days just north of Maine a few years ago and had a blast.
But anyway- that was the biggie. A few honorable mentions would have to be my son saying he wanted to fight fires with me when he grows up(he’s 4), and FINALLY understanding why Rush, Dio, and Zeppelin are so gawd-damn awesome!Dad

No interesting story to share.
Just stopping in to say hi.
Today I opened a tub of Freedom Ice for the first time.
Wow.
I also have a tub of Pineapple Xtend and Mango Nectar Xtend Go, from an order I placed early last week. Never tried either. Looking forward to opening them sometime next week.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

my "end of an era" story has got to be the fact that the wife and i are now officially empty nesters. the youngest of our 3 kids started college in Sept. and has moved into the dorms...making our house strangely quiet. this is something we have been looking forward to but its kind of sad and surreal nonetheless.
im sure we will adjust just fine tho!

So my "end of an era" story comes with my parents who sold their house this past summer. While my brother and I haven't lived there with them for several years now, our family was in that house for 24 years, so it was sad to have to say goodbye considering all of the memories we had there. The new place my parents moved to is absolutely gorgeous, so they are very happy with the new home and I'm really happy for them. And so now we'll just have to start a new chapter of memories in their new digs.

My new beginning has to do with my career. I’ve been a personal trainer for the past 6 years and I’m on the verge of jumping ship from my current gym over to Lifetime. For anyone who isn’t aware, Lifetime is pretty much the biggest gym around and is like a damn country club. Figure there’s more room for growth and opportunity in the company so it may be the right move to make. I’ve been through 5 interviews (2 phone, 3 in person) already, Just ironing out the final details to make sure its a good fit for both sides.
As for Scivation I can’t wait to see the new products that are on the way. Quake is gone which hurts but I’m sure you guys have some amazing stuff on the horizon.Instagram - beyond__fitness__

My wife and I are in the same boat with the house sale. We are "this close" to putting our place up and downsizing a bit. We've got 3 boys, and you wouldn't necessarily think that downsizing makes any sense. But to be honest, we have what I consider "too much house" to maintain while trying to work full-time and raise these kids. The amount of yard work alone is staggering and I'd love to find a place with a lot less up-keep. So if we decide to move, that will be our new beginning/end of an era moment. We want to stay in the same town because we love it here.....we just would like to simplify our lives a bit more as it is about as hectic as can be some days.

Have a similar story man, you from IA? best of luck to you.
Graduated with AS degree 3 years then right around the same time the trifecta happened within 1.5 years.. my best friend took it upon himself, GF and I ended ours almost 2 years ago after a 6 year deal, then my parents split their marriage. After all this I decided to further my education at ISU and i'm on my last 8 weeks, struggling with one class working towards that Bachelor degree. Thinking I might leave it at that.
After school I plan to work as a self employed designer/artist and take it from there one step at a time. Since joining school again I gained the focus to work and try for the degree but lost the drive to work out. Just not fun trying to do everything at once everyday. This coming new year will be great to have a new gym and work focus with more time!PM for custom art inquiry's, examples on my page.
