Why light day(upper body) day before heavy day (lower body)

Why do alot of 4 day programs have you do your upper body the day before you do lower body?

    Mon. Press + assistance
    Tues. Dead + assistance

    Thursday. Bench + assistance
    Fri. Squat = assistance

    Just curious

Try squatting first. Next, try benching first. You'll find that a heavy squat takes away from your bench, but not vice versa.

This is something you must try for yourself to understand.
