I was dealing with bad anxiety and started to experience depression.
Been trying many different stuff, too many.
But i was finally inspired by this thread:
http://anxietyforum.net/forum/showth...red-my-Anxiety
I feel better than i have in years 100% serious
The supplements are:
amino acid complex ( for example amino 2222) on an empty stomach
Vitamin b complex
multivitamin
Amino acids are the precursors to serotonin (tryptophan) and dopamine ( tyrosine) among others. They are probably vital for mental health.
vitamin b´s enhance the uptake i think, and niacin is also involved in the conversion tryptophan - serotonin.
Just sharing this, hope it might lift your mood as it lifts mine.
night and day difference here. It might not work for everyone, i can just hope it does.
peace!

I was amino acid deficient.. Or they werent absorbed from food, destroyed from cooking, insufficient nutrients in groceries.. I dont know mate.
Vitamin b complex, amino 2222 and a multivitamin - lifts mood well. Relaxed, more cheereful. Amino acids are best absorbed on an empty stomach.
Tryptophan and vitamin b3 taken together, in theory makes a good compound for serotonin.
But You also get uplifting, activating chatecolamines/dopamine from tyrosine and phenylalanin.
Jim Carrey used 5htp and tyrosine instead of ssri.
But in an amino acid complex - You get all of the amino acids - the precursors to the substances vital for mental health. The amino acids should be taken on an empty stomach though, and probably together with vitamin bs in order to deliver the right effects.
Correct me if im wrong!
And feel free to try it and report back.

Do you try this before? I think the effects of this combo are starting to fade out I’m could probably try yours.

No, ive taken 50+ different supplements, im alive and well mate.
Try "amino 2222" and a multivitamin - hopefully youll notice positive effects the first day as i did.
If that amino complex does not suit you, you can try another one.
Amino acids are probably key of you want to adress mental health through supplements.
Make sure it at least contains tryptophan and tyrosine. And combine it with a multivitamin for better absorption/synergy.
You can check this thread for further info (i use amino 2222 instead of amino fuel since the amino fuel formula seems to have changed):

How are amino acids not essential for ones well Being if they are the precursors to neurotransmitters such as serotonin? And when taken with niacin, the conversion of tryptophan into serotonin is enhanced..
I can most certainly feel serotonergic and dopqminergic effects when taking this stack.
This is a strange forum.
if ive helped someone its worth it though.
Peace out

ive eaten meat/fish/chicken daily all of my life.
Still i was struggling badly with mood, unable to feel peace/joy.
All of this has changed with one amino supplement.
ive also taken whey protein daily, that did not solve the issue either.
Maybe the heat involved in cooking destroys some amino acids.
Im signing out.
I can tell you though 100% that this stack improves my mood greatly, and im not a beginner regarding supplements. Ive tried more things than whats good for me.
This simple info is here to make it an alternative to look up on if anyone has been in the same siutation.
peace

I can agree tryptophan and B12 can elevate mood. Depression i dont know. But i suggest you take pure tryptophan and not together with an EAA supplement since it will compete with the other amino acids to cross the blood-brain barrier. Tryptophan is one of my all time favorite supplements dosnt matter how stressful a day has been, always gets me knocked out after 30 mins of intake.
Tried pure tyrosine with no results. (A few months) but since i Snus i guess tyrosine wont be as effective.
And what i can see from the Amino 2222 is that you get most of the amino acids from whey, so it has a similar Amino profile as just taking whey protein powder.
But im glad it worked for you!

There are 22 proteinogen amino acid, dividend into the group essential, semi-essential and non-essential. Not every essential amino acids are precursors to seratonin or dopamine. (Tyrosine is considered a Conditionally essential amino acids by the way). Dont want to bash on you success. Im happy for you. But some of the things you wrote is not true.

amino acid complex + vitamin b complex + probiotic -> Feeling goat
in an amino acid complex the amino acids are hydrolyzed and better absorbed, vitamin bs are cofactors for uptake, probiotics/microbiome are very much needed in order to produce neurotransmitters in the gut. 90% of serotonin is made in the gut. Google gut-brain-axis.
any comments on this as a good neurotransmitter-stack? In theory it should maximize uptake and availability of serotonin, noradrenaline, dopamine etc due to the precursors being supplied, the uptake being enhanced and the gut being in order to produce it all.
