    Micro Cutting Experience?

Does any do micro cutting such as bulking for a month and cutting for 2 weeks or so? Because im yet to try this to see how it works with my body. I normally bulk 3 months and cut for 1 month but i loose quite amount of muscle while i loose fat. Of course im eating 1g protein per lbm. Just want to know has anyone had any experience doing micro or it doesnt work since that body needs time to adjust? and also when you guys go for a cut do you do maintenance calories for 1 week before you go 500 calories under? or straight from +500 calories to -1000 calories? (Since -500 is back to maintenance)

Could you detail what you did prior cuts? You should not lose significant muscle mass with a one month cut typically

3 months would be considered minimum for a bulk, 1 month is just ridiculous. Nothing wrong with the occasional minicut of 2-6 weeks, i've done it plenty. You should be bulking slowly and for as long as possible though.

    ^Exactly this.

What's the point of trying to gain 2-3lbs to lose half of it back.. You'll end up spinning your wheels.

You also should be aware that when bulking/cutting, you slowly up/lower your calories week by week, you don't just jump to your goal calories at one go. So how would you achieve that?

Doesn't sound like a good approach to me.

You won't be losing "a lot of muscle" when cutting unless you are engaging in malnutrition and not lifting.

You'd be doing nothing but spinning your wheels if you bulk for a month and then cut for 2 weeks. Slow bulk over winter, cut in the spring. Don't over think it.

I haven't tried it, but plenty of reading for you to do here :

Will it work, I have no idea, nutrition isn't my expertise. But Pakulski knows his chit. I'll probably give it a go next year.. Obviously don't expect 20, 30 lbs unless, well you know LOL

No, for the most part it's ridiculous. Advanced lifters will be gaining slowly so in a month they won't gain much. Newer lifters probably should be spending longer continuous times in surplus to support the larger gainz they are capable of and training in general.

How many years are you into consistent training? How much are you gaining in the 3 months?

Ben Pakulski is one of the worst sources of nutrition info, right up there with Jim Stoppani.

Pakulski has good videos on exercise execution though.

If you are losing alot of muscle on 1g protein/lb, you are either in too steep of a deficit, your routine sucks and or combo of both. How much weight are you losing per week? Keeping it to 0.5lb to a 1lb/week may help keep muscle loss to minimum/non existent if you are lean.
