This will be my log as I work towards my all time life goal of bench pressing 405 (4 plates) bench press.
My best life was 365 lbs I didn't record it and honestly don't remember it- Sniffed to much ammonia. My form was probably messed up. Anyways. I'v hit and recorded a 350lb bench press. Starting lifts
January 2018: 350 Bench Press. (Form is slightly questionable) 315x5 All TIME PR
Weight- 225 LBS
September 2018
Bench press- 315x3 (easy)
SlingShot Bench- 315x5 325x5 335x4
Incline Bench- 185x8 (5 sets)
Flat DB Bench- 60x15 (5 sets)
Incline DB Bench 70x10 (5 sets)
SkullCrushers 70x12 (5 sets)
Close grip Bench 245x5
Back
Barbell Rows 205x6 185x10
Latpull down 150x10
DB Row 90x12
Facepull 50x20
incline DB curls- 15x12 20x10 (WEAK)
I will be posting my workouts and update the above lifts as I progress.
Anyways i'd estiamte my current 1-rp max is 335-345. I had 1 or so reps on my 315x3 set. So the calculator says 335-345ISH.

Monday 9-17-18 National chest day.
Heavy Day
Bench 225x5 245x3 275x3 280x3 285x3 290x3 295x3 (heavy) 285x3 285x3 290x2 290x2 290x2 (10 sets of heavy)
SlingShot Bench- 315x7 325x5 335x4 315x7 315x7 (5x5)
Skull crushers 70x15 80x15 80x12 80x12 80x11
Tri Ext- 40x20 5 sets
Overall, Happy with how the heavy 3 reps felt. My goal is to hit 295x3 for 5 then 300x3 for 3 and 305 2x2. eventually I'd like to hit my 5 sets with 315- 320 3x3 325 2x2. This will be my target for January. I'm attempting to add 5 lbs a week for 6-8 weeks starting at 280. That would have me around my New year goal of 315x3 (5 sets)
Then I will test to see were my max is around. Goal 355+ January. Leggo That would have me around 5 lbs stronger the same time last year. Anything over that will be gravy. I hope to have 365 clean but We will see how progress slows down.~ ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE ~

Starting to feel a bit stronger- 365 in January (3-4months) its starting to feel a little optimistic but i'm still going to grind out these next 3 months and see what I can do. My estimated 1rp is right at 350. So 5 lbs a month very optimistic. Anyways lets do my best.
325x3- RPE-9ish I need to get a better angle from the front. I'll do a better video next month.

You thought of getting a strength coach to give pointers? A trained pair of eyes might be able to identify weak points easy.

A coach would be good. I'm not that serious- Don't plan on powerlifting meets or anything. I just do it for fun and to challenge myself. I may record videos and have some people watch my form or something. I don't really pay money for help like that.

Hello there- Sunday 10-7-18
Today Everything felt a little tight. My legs drive hips chest. I did a long 30 min warmup and finally got a bit comfortable.
Bench 225x5 255x5 275x5 295x3 315x2 335x2 275x8
Seated DB Press- (very slight incline) 70x12 75x12 80x10 85x10- I plan to hit more of these to strength my front delts shoulders area a bit.
Skull crushers 70x12 80x12 80x12 80x12
Tri Press downs 5x15
Facepulls 5x15
Overall, Happy with how 335x2 felt. Was planning on just 1 but it went up easy. I plan to do chest work 2-3x a week- Next month I'm going to try a newish PR of 355. Look out for the video boys and girls!~ ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE ~
