For real. Djokovic hasn't been super consistent so who knows. If he makes it to the semis or final its GG though.
Maybe Thiem or Medvedev could outrally him, or in Thiem's case; blast him off the court. He did it at Roland Garros and at the ATP Finals. Also maybe Fed if he plays like he did at the ATP Finals, but Fed beating Novak in a slam is honestly a long shot.
Other players ill keep an eye out for at the Aus open:
-Janik Sinner, all hail the sinnerman
-Rublev, won Qatar and is pretty much back to being a very promising top50 player
-RBA, dude has been in wild form.
-Shapo very slowly living up to his hype, almost won against Novak last week and now 14th in the world.
-Di Minaur, hoping for a good performance from him

Nobody cares about low ranked players playing qualies, challengers or futures (srs).
Not that I agree with it, but it's pretty much the reality. Lads traveling around the globe, playing tennis for scraps hoping to somehow make it out of debt or just break even. No top players have really spoken out against it, but then again, they're not the ones playing qualies on court 18 while all the courts with a ROOF are used for practice for the top players.

The draw is decent, and is sorta tricky for Nadal. He has a potential Kyrgios in R4, which seems unlikely since its been years since Kygs made it past R3. Thiem in the QF which is the real bummer, Medvedev in the semis is tricky, but much better than Federer or Djokovic. Medvedev also has shown to be sorta human the last months, flopping at Paris and the WTFs, and doing okayish at the ATP cup, so I'm sure Nadal is more than happy with his draw.
Especially Thiem should be tough, and seeing how well he has played on faster courts lately, I wouldn't be surprised to see Thiem upset Nadal.
Djokovic faces a Tsitsipas / RBA QF, Federer in the semis and then Nadal/Med/Thiem final which is still decent tough, but should be very doable for him. Federer also has a fairly easy draw and should sail through smoothly. Only a possible Shapo in R4 and then Novak in the semis.
Potential players that could ruffle some feathers like Zverev, Rublev, Khachanov, Kyrgios, FAA, Monfils, Wawrinka, Goffin are all in Nadal's half, but most should take eachother out before he faces them.
Meanwhile Novak and Federer have Berretini, Fognini, Shapo, Hurckacz, Sinner, Raonic and Schwartzmann.
So overall I'd say Nadal has the tougher draw, but he's probably happy to avoid Federer.

honestly not even surprised
Shapo lets me down more often than not tbh.
Federer's draw shaping up real nice if he can get past the MILKMAN. Djokovic should be fine until his QF with RBA/tsitsi
Nadal won his first two rounds in straight sets, but is probably dissapointed aussie WC Bolt couldn't close out his 2-1 lead over Thiem in R2. Great match though. Only one round away from another Nadal vs Kyrgios match, this time on Kyrgios home turf.

Yeah lmfao what.a.day. on both the mens and womens side.
Djokovic is probably laughing, plays either Raonic (9-0 h2h) or Cilic (19-3 h2h) in the QF before meeting Federer who's playing 5 sets with Millman. Tsitsipas is 2-2 with him, and RBA has either beaten him or taken him the distance in recent years.
But to give credit, Cilic played absolutely beastly against RBA. Won 10 games in a row at some point.

Can't help but admire Fed. Guy is 38, accomplished more than anyone can ever dream of, and he's still out there battling winning 5 set matches. Well deserved.
A match like this could really help him especially if he cruises in his next few matches. Draw is actually kind to him after this.
Fuosovic and then Sandgren / Fognini, then another crack at Djokovic in the semis

Milos Ranoic straight dominating this tourney. Hasn't dropped a set yet going into Djoker, really hoping he can pull it out against him. After Bianca's historic win last year at New York I would love for Milos to bring another Slam to Canada. Milos winning would be absolutely insane.
Hoping he does it, would also show his fellow young Canadians that he is still the King of the men's side.
Shame Bianca was still injured pre-tourney. Can't wait to watch her dominate again. Not part of any crews crew
