Social distancing is driving me nuts. Heading to the range to try for the tightest group possible.

And I'm back. A little plug for Thompson Center Compasses. I think I paid $350 for mine AND it came with a 4x12 Vortex Diamondback. Comes with a threaded barrel, 5r rifling and one of the shi++iest stocks I've ever seen but it's light. I've done nothing to it but put a brake on it and a 24x Viper. I run match grade reloads through it and am consistently sub MOA. I put about 10 rounds through it today.
The first few were at 500 meters/ 550 yards on some steel. Snowing but very little wind. Took a video through my spotting scope because hearing steel hit from 500 yards is so satisfying
And finished off with a 5 shot group at 100 yards
Next gun purchase will be an AR9. But after that will be another one of these in .243 for my son's deer rifle.Toxic Masculinity

I'm working from home, and my wife stays home anyways. She will be Language Arts, Art, Music, Social Studies, and Phys Ed. I will fact check her Social Studies, and then cover Science and Math.
Woodshop starts next weekend, warm enough for cars to park outside so i'm setting up the garage for hobbies.
I was impulse buying fitness equipment trying to set up a home gym a few years ago, but stalled out and joined another chain. I did pickup a good treadmill and elliptical, a power cage, a flat bench, 2 bars and enough plates to put 315 one of them. No dumbells over the 20lb ones on a little tree, but a handful of kettle bells up to 50lbs.
Lots of workout time without commuting or friends or family stuff. That plus working through my son's ju jitsu calisthenics three times a week, this might be the kick in the ass I needed.

Coworker staying home because he's exhibiting symptoms. Cant get tested because he isn't in the "risk" group.
Definitely a way to keep the death rate high and people scared!MFC

I've drank enough the last 3 days to sink a ship. Beer mostly. I joined that Hopsy club and it's pretty good. Some chit beers and a lot of IPA's that I can't stand, but so far there have been enough non-IPA beer available to keep me happy. I've only had to throw out 1 jug so far as it was too gross to drink.
I hope so. Haven't moved it since installed. I did a little different construction that what you will see on most. There are 2 - 4x8 horse stall mats on the bottom, then 2 - 4x8 sheets of plywood. It's worked out well so far, but I have no idea if it's scratching the chit out of the floor underneath. You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

This chit is officially out of hand. I went fishing on the beach yesterday. The county closed the beaches for a week but the base beach is federal land. Get out there and there's like 3 people there. Me and my buddy get set up. Of course, surf fishing, you're pretty far apart naturally. At peak, there were maybe 10 people on the beach max. Half the reason is because the base is dead on the weekends, and it's like a 3/4 mile hike out there. Anyway, a couple hours in and the bite heats up. Pulling a fish every cast. Base cops roll up and tell us the beaches are closed and we need to leave. I was furious. Here I am trying to stock up on some fresh natural food since the morons are hoarding all grocery store meat and they take that ability away. FUK this $hit.
Got a decent haul first though.

Story time
We started a load of laundry Saturday, about 15 min in something came apart inside the washer and it started dumping water in our upstairs laundry room.
Most of it went down the floor drain, but some was seeping under the baseboard, into the floor below, and right into the smoke/CO detector.Detectors short out, all alarms start blaring.
Walk around the corner and water is pouring from the ceiling. Wife is screaming, son is screaming, daughter is crying, 110 lb dog is losing his mind howling and running laps looking for me.
No real damage, but god damn people are on edge these days.
It is good to know if things hit the fan you have fresh meat a cast away.------♥♥-----

Not my initial reaction
It was a real Griswald family moment.
Yeah, part of its on me for not having them used to it.
Time for a more regular fire drill, just so they know what the sound is. Learn to act not panic.------♥♥-----

I remember I was backing out the golf cart and we had a baby kitten sleeping behind one of the tires
I didn’t see it, tires pushed it to the drop off of the garage door, and I ran over it’s head
It was suffering , flopping around
I felt bad but had to put it out of its misery
Wife comes out, I tell her , don’t let the kids see this
As I am about to smash it’s head, the kids come out and start screaming, going nuts, run in the house
I have to go explain myself to them, it was pandemonium, screaming at me with anger, etc
By time I got them calmed down and explained it, went out and the kitten had passedDallas Cowboys

We were supposed to start working remotely today but they had everyone go in the office and stay till noon just like we did Friday. I guess tomorrow will be my first full day. I thought I would hate it but when working remotely I'm much more productive. I don't put things off if I know I can do something when I get done. At the office I guess I was procrastinating on certain things since I knew I'd have to be there till 5 regardless.

I've stocked up on 2 weeks of booze a couple times in the last three weeks, so you could say I am leaning into it.
My wife hadnt left the house since the 13th, so we did a 3 hr road trip looking at roadside oddities.
Small city about an hour away has the worlds largest easter egg, another town has the worlds larges mallard duck, that kind of thing.
Place 2 hrs NE of us has a giant perogy, that might be next weekend.

Nice. Aside from walking the dogs, I haven't left the house since Thursday. Tempted to break into the extra cases of beer we have but trying to save it for the weekend. Might have to run out and get something different sooner or later.
Anyway, got the scouting report on the creeper in the neighborhood. Turns out he and his brother are on the local fuzz's radar but nothing noteworthy other than him being 'odd.'#sunyourballs
