This weekend at 3am our cat brought a 15 lbs swamp rabbit through the dog door and into the house. Fukr bled everywhere and scared my wife to death. I was running around the house like Elmer Fudd half asleep with a broom and all the doors open trying to chase the damn thing out. Then after the whole ordeal was over this bastard cat climbed up on the bed and had the most smug satisfied look on his face like he had done the greatest thing ever. Somehow the baby stayed asleep through the whole thing thank God

vet tried to let me keep my cat over the weekend , medicate and watch him
$1000+

I said no way, so he put a bunch of water and antibiotics under his skin and it was $100

Not sure I would spend more than a couple hundred on one

Estimate is $650-$700 for full body x-rays, medicines, complete blood panel, sedation, emergency consult. Not bad for an emergency room. I wish that was the cost for humans.

He has upper respiratory infection and is vomiting and limping...could be extremely serious, could be coincidental respiratory paired with a sprained leg.

They said if they can't find anything through these tests then it appears to be neurological they would send him to a specialist and do an MRI. That would run $3,000.




My wife texted me all this and then she added "yeah right like we are spending 3 grand on an MRI for a freaking cat!".
