    What's the stupidest advice you have received from someone in the gym?

    Someone once asked me what muscle group I was training, so I told him that I was doing a pull workout and hitting back, biceps, traps and rear delts. And I kid you not, he replied, "You shouldn't train more than one muscle a day, man. When you have your post-workout shake, your body will get confused and won't know where to allocate the protein"

    What is the dumbest chit you've been told by someone in the gym trying to give you 'advice'?

    That dumbbell side bends are useless since gravity is pulling the weight and your torso down, so your muscle isn't actually lifting or resisting anything.

    It does a bit, tbh. Obviously basic social skills are a must to get anywhere in life, but being a muscular guy will give you a lot more leeway in social situations.

    I was told that I was doing lat pulldowns incorrectly because I wasn't 'using enough momentum'. He was implying that swinging your back backwards during the pull down was better for your lats. He didn't understand my response that this would not help me target my lats.
