Fairly even trade at the moment for both teams. Down the road this could look bad for Vegas if they are unable to extend Patches and Suzuki ends up being a solid 2C for MTL.

Whenever you get a prospect in a deal it's rough. Suzuki looks like he could be the real deal though.

Not sure I understand the move from the Bruins. McQuaid was probably going to ride the pine a lot this year or not even dress given our defensive depth. Maybe he wanted to go somewhere he can play since he's going into a contract year? Freed up 2mil in cap FWIW.

Patches signs for 7mil per for 4 years. Solid money and term isn't too bad. Good signing for VGK if he puts up anywhere close to his typical offensive numbers.

These situations rarely play out well for the accused, the stories seem to get blown out of proportion too. Not a lot of details on the situation yet by the looks of a quick search of the news but his career is probably in jeopardy.
