reading the Ontario Boxing website
http://boxingontario.com/athletes/am...vs-pro-boxing/
the part near the bottom of the list where it says objectives
"To win on points by landing more correct scoring blows on the opponent’s target area. Knock-downs do not result in extra points. Knock-outs are accidental, and not an objective."
so, am I technically not suppose to try and go for a knockout in amateur fights? lolYellow Fever Crew

going to be purchasing these Mike Tyson replica 1986 boxing shorts
I wan't boxing trunks that are actually short like this. shorts like this are almost impossible to find it seems. Muay Thai shorts are the most similar to this, but pretty much every muay thai short I see has crazy designs and writing all over them. I just want some plain colours shorts that are actually short lol.
if anybody has any suggestions where I can look to buy boxing shorts of this length please let me knowYellow Fever Crew

Looking forward to Porter Garcia this weekend. Probably favor Garcia as I think he might catch Porter rushing in with a big counter. But Porter is more active.
Also Al Haymon pulled through when everyone thought he was killing PBC and got 60 mill deal with Fox: The four-year, multi-platform agreement, expected to begin in December, will feature 10 "marquee fight nights" annually in prime time on the Fox broadcast network with 12 more cards slated to air on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Deportes each year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Ring magazine reported that Fox would pay out more than $60 million annually under the agreement.
Fox, which will also live stream its events, said it would create shoulder programming to support the boxing cards, including behind-the-scenes shows, fight countdown preview shows, press conferences, weigh-ins and pre-fight and post-fight shows, as well as two studio-based PBC-branded shows per month.
Add that to Espn and top ranks new 7 year deal and DAZN's 1 billion they are playing with should be a ton of boxing onLast edited by bchap05; 09-05-2018 at 03:01 PM.

Watched Amir Khan vs Samuel Vargas on Saturday. Pretty entertaining fight even though it was 2 glass jaws basically. Khan put Vargas down in the 2nd but almost pulled one of his infamous capitulations. He got knocked down a couple rounds later and took a few heavy shots through the end of the fight, ended up as unanimous for Khan though.
Had Porter v Garcia spoiled for me and still have to watch it. Both fights were on youtube yesterday night.ωσяℓ∂ тяανєℓєя ȼяєω

I didn't get to see Garcia Porter either because I was at a football game but followed on twitter. Sounds like Garcia didn't throw enough which is what I expected if he didn't catch Porter coming in. Fighters that are good but lose because they don't throw enough are frustrating.
Khan I haven't paid much attention too since anytime he steps up he will get ko'd..Which I guess is entertaining though I've never been bored during a Khan fight.

yeah tbh Khan hasn't really improved much since his loss to Danny. He still has hand speed but seems slower on his feet with age. He also never developed true knock out power and STILL has the glass jaw. Apparently he wants to fight Manny now...before Kell Brook.

Garcia was far too passive and let porter dictate the pace far too much. He was way more accurate and landed the bigger shots all fight, but he waited too long to ramp up. Their punch landed totals were nearly even and Porter threw almost double the punches. Was a good fight, but Garcia really had the tools to win and let it slip away by not getting off the mark often enough to push his own pace. Porter also got him with a couple headbutts.
I honestly thought Porter didnt land much of significance, most of his punches were blocked, but activity won him that fight. I thought it was 114-114 or 115-113 porter, but when you watched the slowed down recaps, half the shots I thought porter landed, werent actually flush.
Good fight though. Garcia really should have pushed harder and I think he would have won that fight, he was in no real danger of getting KOed and could have opened up a little more. For every man, there is a sentence, a string of words, that has the power to destroy him

That's Danny Garcia's main problem, he's way too comitted to landing the perfect shot in every scenario. He should have been trying to discourage Porter from the get go, but like you said, way too passive. I scored it 114-114.
You think so? I think Khan loses to both Pacquiao and Brook by stoppage. He got put down and saved by the bell by a guy who's not even known as a puncher on Saturday.
