didn't know who Ruiz was before he was announced as the replacement to fight Joshua after Miller failed his test
After watching training footage and past fights of Ruiz I thought it was going to be a pretty tough fight for Joshua but that he would come out the winner again. But I knew it wouldn't be a walk in the park. Ruiz hand speed is pretty fking impressive for a man his size and look lol. He was coming back with very fast counters the entire fight. was getting off 2-3 punch combo's to Joshua's 1
as mentioned earlier in this thread about Lomachenko's last fight, where he put the guy away with a punch that connected behind the ear. Joshua was done after that 3rd round where Ruiz connected with a hard left hook behind Joshua ear. I've been hit in that spot in sparring and although i'm not taking a powerful shot like these guys are throwing, I can still tell that I would be fked up if I got hit hard there. It fks up your equilibrium really bad. you could see Joshua legs go instantly after that shot.
Also, Joshua did not look impressive at all in the first 2 rounds

I'll preface by saying I've never been hit with a punch to my face so it's with much respect to AJ I say this.
The great fighters have an instinct to fight for survival when hurt. Call it fight IQ. AJ doesn't seem to have it. From having heard boxers and MMAists talk about it, the more that you have practiced your techniques/strategies the easier it is for you to resort to them when all your senses aren't there but you still need to fight and defend.
A recent example would be the Wilder/Fury fight. Both guys showed they could fight even when they got hurt. I know people **** on Wilder's technique but if you look at the last two rounds he did a good job of securing the W (yea it's debatable) even though he got rocked a couple times. He showed great head movement in the face of heavy pressure from Wilder while trying to regain his composure.

No they are of Mexican descent, but yeah he's American. I've followed him for a bit and knew he was better than most thought based on his body. However I figured he would get ko'd around 7 or so. Crazy fight launched off my couch in round 3 when he dropped Joshua screaming. Wife was like wtf is going on I can hear you outside.

Torn on that one. Pac has looked good lately so people are higher on him. Thurman looked kind of meh last time out so people are down on him. Prior to their last two fights the vast majority would have said Thurman. So I kind of tend to still lean towards Thurman. He was coming off a lay off, is younger, stronger, bigger. But Pac is legend who can still fight.

I think if this goes to decision, Pac can pull up an upset.
The other way could be a KO for Thurman if he's able to catch Manny.
Keith is just too big for Pac at his age now. I guess its the same for Manny's other bigger opponents like Cotto, Margarito, Oscar, etc; if they catch him, Manny's out.Steam - jinda28

Been a casual boxing fan for a solid 15 years or so (grew up with HBO in my house so always watched it when it was on) but been getting more and more into it the last year. Seems like between DAZN, Top Rank, and PBC there's almost always some kind of title fight going on every weekend or so, so I've been watching more and more outside of the obvious huge PPV matches. Also enjoying the fact that it's not uncommon to have boxing on a Friday or Sunday considering I'm almost always watching MMA on Saturdays.
Anyways we got Commey vs Beltran this Friday and Charlo vs Adams this Saturday. Kinda cool to watch one Charlo brother fight one weekend and his brother fight the next weekend.

I like looking at all the Winning products from this website
http://www.winning-usa.com/products.html
It's the only Authorized distributor of Winning gear in the USA. Winning makes a lot more products than I thought. on other websites like Kozuji, or even through the Japanese website Rakuten a lot of the items are not available on those websites for you to even custom order.
But on this winning-usa site you can get heavybags, shoes, shorts, body protectors, Sauna Suits etc..
edit: By the way I have recently placed another custom order through Koubudo Rakuten for a Sky Blue coloured groin guardYellow Fever Crew

With Naoya Inoue becoming a more known name after defeating Emmanuel Rodriguez in the WBSS, people are making a lot more videos about him
and I have to say it is quite annoying listening to EVERYBODY butcher the pronunciation of his name lol.
everybody says his name like "Na-oh-ya" "I-no-u-eh"
There are no pauses, or emphasis of syllables in Japanese names.
All you have to do is pronounce his name like this
"Nowya eenoway" with no pauses in the middle of the words lol.

Tyson Fury won a 12 round decision over Otto Wallin
Everybody thought it would be another easy night for Fury but Wallin proved to be a tough SOB and scrapped for 12 rounds.
Fury suffered an extremely bad cut right near his eyelid in the 3rd round which was bleeding badly
he then suffered another cut right below the first on his eyelid from a headbut

I really like the fights coming up. Dervechenko I feel is a legit threat to GGG. Canelo is facing one of the hardest hooks in the business in Kovalev and could be KO'd in almost any round. Ruiz is getting a rematch. I am hoping he wins and faces Wilder just to see the body types in the ring. It will be like watching street fighter.
Even the looming talk of Lomachenko vs Pac Man is interesting to me. Loma gets a big paycheck, gets cemented in the people's eyes as the best P4P. Pac Man can retire on a high note. Kind of a perfect passing of the torch.Last edited by mrtheend; 09-19-2019 at 10:16 AM.
